I think I know what TruMovieFan is talking about. It's kind of like something like putting the show or a season on Blu-Ray/DVD/4K/etc. The Melissa Joan Hart version of Sabrina The Teenage Witch had songs altered/changed or removed entirely for streaming services and/or DVD/Blu-Ray because they didn't have permission to use certain songs outside of the show airing on cable. Stranger Things Season 1 and 2 have been released on DVD/Blu-Ray. Season 3 hasn't yet though unless you buy a bootleg. Maybe Season 3 is having some issues being released officially on DVD/Blu-Ray because there is issues with the music/song choices throughout the season. So for Season 4, they cut back on song usage. That way it would be easier to release Season 4 on Blu-Ray/DVD IF they decide to release it. So maybe that's what TruMovieFan means by mentioning syndication. Yep. He speaks in the movie. He bounces between typing his words on the computer for Maverick to see and actually speaking to Maverick. I've fallen for that nonsense way too many times. They can't get me anymore. I may still check out a movie though if the plot sounds interesting or maybe someone in the cast is someone I like. I've fallen more for a lot of horror movies though that do this kind of stuff, especially with Netflix exclusive horror movies or even A24 horror movies. Like they are "too scary to finish," or "scariest movie of all time," or people left the theater, or people were rushed to the hospital (heart failure, seizure, and a few other things), or people passed out, people got sick/vomited, and many other things. When I finish the movie, I always come to the same conclusion or conclusions. It wasn't that scary at all, or I sit there and ask "is this your first horror movie?" since everything that came close to being scary was just stuff I've seen before in other movies. Also, the movies are nothing but jumpscares every 2-3 minutes. Apparently jumpscares is the definition of horror and nothing else. But a lot of these movies I just sit there and sit there and then sit some more waiting for things to get scary or get me to react the way others do. Then when things finally do get interesting, the movie ends like 5-10 minutes later and I'm just sitting there like: "That's it? That was such a waste of 80 to 100 minutes and not even scary. I've seen scarier and those movies I'm thinking of that were scarier weren't even all that scary either." The last 5-10 years (mainly since about 2015 or 2016) it just seems like we've been in this era where everything seems like it's someone's first movie or they act liked it's the first time something has been done before. Like X. Everyone praises X, but to me, the movie is just a ripoff of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (not sure why it's chain saw and not chainsaw) mixed with the Friday The 13th movies (Friday The 13th for all the sex and nudity). Has no one seen any Friday The 13th movies or the original TCM? If you watch those, you pretty much saw X. The Batman was more R-rated than this and that movie was still very PG-13-ish. Nothing stood out that screamed "this should be rated R." Doctor Strange 2 screamed PG-13 to me. I've also seen PG movies that were more graphic than Doctor Strange 2. Maybe people just need to watch more movies. It seems there is a trend lately where everyone acts like every movie they see now, they are seeing something for the first time because it's never been done before. Shang-Chi's bus scene. Pretty sure there are better scenes than that in other martial arts/kung fu movies (I don't watch a lot of martial arts/kung fu movies). Heck, Nobody's bus scene was better than Shang-Chi's bus scene. Scream 5, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022, and Halloween Kills' gore. Tons of other slasher movies with the same kind of gore or are way more graphic, including previous TCM and Scream movies and the Rob Zombie Halloween movies. X. Just go watch something like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (X is pretty much a ripoff of that) or the Friday The 13th movies (plenty of T&A/sex and people getting killed in those). The list goes on. So yeah. Pretty sure there are other PG-13 or even PG movies that make Doctor Strange 2 look like nothing and that nothing in it is pushing the PG-13 rating and should be R instead. Doctor Strange 2 was VERY PG-13 to me. I like him more in his own movies. He's too much of a goofball and stuff in other movies. Especially Spider-Man. And something is definitely off with him in Spider-Man when you got people saying before the movie released that it wasn't the real Doctor Strange and either a multiverse/variant Strange got through, or Mysterio was disguising himself as Strange. Also, Spider-Man was able to beat Strange, so Strange got nerfed/dumb down for Spider-Man. But then he's right back to being powerful in Doctor Strange 2. Endgame, he was pretty much MIA because he was trying to hold back a flood or something from getting in the way of the battle. And in Doctor Strange 2, he was serious again. Instead of making jokes in Spider-Man, he was more wanting to get down to business in Doctor Strange 2. Like that diner scene where he and Wong are talking to America Chavez. One woman wanted a selfie/picture of Strange. He pretty much told her to eff off and told American Chavez to just talk and quit messing around, especially with jokes. If this was the Spider-Man movie, he would've allowed the woman to take the picture/selfie and reply to American Chavez with jokes of his one. Plus be saying more jokes throughout the film. He was more serious and even savage in Doctor Strange 2. While watching Doctor Strange 2, I kept thinking/saying mentally, "there is the Doctor Strange I remember (and like)." I prefer Wong being the goofball and one always with the jokes. So yeah. Doctor Strange in the solo movies is the Doctor Strange I prefer. I'd say Phase 2 since that is where my top favorite MCU movies happen/are set/released during. Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians Of The Galaxy 1, and Ant-Man (takes place after Age Of Ultron, but is considered the epilogue of Phase 2). Phase 1 just seemed liked the movies were all slapped together to give us the basics on the characters and was focusing too much on getting to the first Avengers movie. If I were to pick Phase 1, it would probably be for nostalgia reasons, but I don't find that a good enough reason to pick it as my favorite phase. Pretty much ALL of Phase 3 frustrated me because all the movies REALLY started shoehorning Guardians Of The Galaxy's humor into them. I hate that when something is successful, Hollywood gets carried away and starts overusing it. So Disney/Marvel had to overuse humor and boost the humor in the MCU movies because it worked for Guardians Of The Galaxy. I like to laugh when watching superhero movies, but god dang they took the humor too far post-Guardians Of The Galaxy 1. That's why I love Captain America: The Winter Soldier. PERFECT balance of humor and seriousness. Also, Phase 3 was focusing WAY too much on future building than the "now." Everything was just building to Infinity War and Endgame. Civil War just seemed off and something was missing when watching it since they were too busy building to Infinity War and Endgame instead of focusing on the "now". Then Phase 3 pulls a Phase 1 by doing a lot of time killer movies or movies that give the basics on characters. Like Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. Also, Black Panther is another overrated movie. It's pretty much The Lion King, although everyone says it brings something new to the MCU. Also, all of Black Panther's moments were in the marketing. The actual movie focuses more on Okoye, Shuri, and Nakia. Black Panther had a better story arc in Civil War than his actual movie. Phase 4 just keeps doing what I dislike about Phase 3. So I'm not picking that. The red flash/burst/explosion could go either way. I've seen breakdowns explaining how the red explosion/burst/flash represents her dying, especially since everyone else she killed throughout the movie, there was the same red burst/flash/explosion when they died. I'm going with she died (without factoring in the red flash/burst/explosion). Her story arc in the MCU felt wrapped up by the end of this movie, along with WandaVision's story getting some proper conclusion/ending. There really isn't much left to tell with Wanda 616. If they want to continue having Wanda/Scarlet Witch in the MCU, plus continue to make the multiverse relevant (pretty sure this new saga is called The Multiverse Saga), they'll hit the reset button on Wanda/start out fresh with Wanda and bring a variant into the 616 universe and go from there. Only Top Gun. I think it was an old trailer too since it said June 2020 for a release date at the end of the trailer. There is actually a red explosion/burst when she supposedly dies. That actually could go either way though. It could mean that the temple or whatever you call that place hit the protection shield and gave off a red burst/explosion, or when Scarlet Witch/Wanda died her being crushed gave off a red explosion/burst because of all her powers leaving her body. I read that when everyone else died from Scarlet Witch's powers in the movie, there was the same red burst/explosion when they died. But it could still be a shield/bubble that the building hit as it fell. Kind of like how the explosions were in Independence Day when the missiles were ineffective and hit the shield. There was a green/blueish explosion/burst when the missiles hit the ships' shield. I think Scarlet Witch died even without factoring in the red burst/explosion, but the red burst/explosion could pretty much be saying she died and they didn't want to go into full detail on showing her died. They probably felt the burst/explosion got the point across that she died. Oh, you'd be amazed what pisses off the woke crowd nowadays. Michael Myers is now homophobic because he killed a gay couple, although up until Halloween Kills, he was murdering straight couples. He's killed like hundreds of people throughout the last 40+ years and all the movies about him, but he kills two gay people (the rest being straight) and everyone loses their minds (mainly in the woke crowd or those trying to earn bonus points with the woke crowd). 10 seconds of a movie is enough to cause the woke crowd to lose their minds. But I didn't really think of anything woke related with America Chavez having two moms. I just thought they borrowed/stole from Wonder Woman since Wonder Woman/Diana comes from an island of all women, where it's more than likely common every child has two moms (I don't read the comics, so maybe they didn't steal anything and America Chavez really does have two moms). Also, it could be like the Asari from Mass Effect. Asari are just an all-female alien race/species. I didn't really go the woke route with America Chavez having two moms. Other things came to mind. I know Marvel and DC like to go back and forth on stealing/borrowing from each other, and Wonder Woman's home came to mind. But then there is something like the Asari from Mass Effect. But the woke WILL probably lose their minds though. They flip out over the smallest thing. I'm going with that she IS dead and the next time we see Wanda/Scarlet Witch, it's going to be a variant. The 616 Wanda/Scarlet Witch is dead. Plus it seems like this new saga is all about the multiverse. So to help keep the multiverse relevant, they'll bring in variants from other universes. Wanda/Scarlet Witch is going to be among the first to get the variant treatment. Also, I want to say that she IS dead just because it seems that her story arc is wrapped up by the end of Doctor Strange 2. So, time to hit the reset button and give the character a fresh start by bringing a variant into the 616 universe and go from there. The Scarlet Witch solo movie is probably where things start with the variant and the movie will pretty much be like Captain America: The First Avenger (Steve/Captain America starts out in WWII era and wakes up in present day). Wanda/Scarlet Witch variant starts out in her universe and then by the end ups in the 616 universe. Then from there we'll see Wanda adapt to the 616 universe, just like how we watched Steve/Captain America adapt to present day. Too bad she is dead now. Unless they bring a variant into into the universe we are following, which won't be the same. Also, A LOT of people are calling Scarlet Witch a Mary Sue. Not because of Doctor Strange 2 or WandaVision, but ever since she debuted in Age Of Ultron. ANY female character that appears to be strong (as in written), they are automatically slapped with the Mary Sue title. So Scarlet Witch has been a Mary Sue since Day 1. That's also why a lot of people hated WandaVision. Too Mary Sue. I've watched the movie. Don't worry. It's not all that woke. The most woke it is, is the entire movie, American Chavez doesn't want to accept her powers or use them. Plus Strange is trying to keep American Chavez safe. But Strange didn't feel dumbed down in the movie or anything. He was a lot better in the movie than in No Way Home where they turned him into a goofball and made him appear weak so Spider-Man could look stronger. I felt Strange, American Chavez, and Scarlet Witch/Wanda were all equal. The only character I felt got ruined in the movie was Scarlet Witch/Wanda since they turned her into a villain. Was hoping the movie would be a Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch team-up movie. There is more I want to say about her, but it might be too spoiler-y. I've seen the movie. There really is no big appearances other than what was shown in the marketing. Professor X IS in the movie and pretty much the only mutant/X-Men related character, but let's just say he won't be THE Professor X of the MCU's movies. Plus I don't think he's the same Professor X from the 20th Century Fox universe. Just another random variant. So yeah. I've seen a lot of theories and who people want to see make an appearance. Everyone is going to be MASSIVELY let down with the theories they have and hope to see. No 20th Century Fox X-Men/mutants except Professor X (as I said, but he probably isn't same Professor X), no Tom Cruise Iron Man, no Tobey Spider-Man, no Andrew Spider-Man, no Fantastic Four that Jessica Alba is a part of (or the Fantastic Four movie everyone calls Fant-4-stic). no Tom Spider-Man, and no other MCU character. The movie is pretty much Doctor Strange, Wong, American Chavez, Scarlet Witch, Rachel McAdams, Mordo (I want to say it's a variant Mordo and NOT the Mordo from the first Doctor Strange movie), and variants of Strange, Scarlet Witch/Wanda, and Rachel McAdams. Plus all the appearances that were given away in the marketing. The only special appearances I think being saved for the movie are Wanda's kids and Bruce Campbell. But Bruce Campbell was kind of expected since Sam Raimi likes to have him pop up a lot in the movies he directs. I just won't give further details about his appearance, although it's not too amazing to begin with. It could've been cut, in my opinion. I've watched the movie. ZERO woke/PC/SJW/etc. And I'm a pretty anti-woke/PC/SJW person. The most woke this movie is, is Doctor Strange and maybe Wong trying to get American Chavez to give in to her powers since she is holding back and doesn't want to use/accept her powers. The whole thing of Rachel McAdams' husband being black, don't really look deep into stuff/read between the lines. Plus it's only in the movie for the first 5-10 minutes. Then we never see Rachel McAdams and her husband again for the rest of movie (no, she isn't killed off). Strange does team up with a Rachel McAdams from a different universe though. If I have my info correct, American Chavez is supposed to be a LGBTQ+ character (in the comics). In the movie though, her sexual orientation is never brought up/discussed. So another example that this movie isn't all that woke/PC/SJW filled. Unless I missed something. I'd say this is once of the least woke/PC/SJW MCU movies in a while, and when it comes to movies altogether. What MCU movie doesn't have jumpscares? Every MCU movie has at least one jumpscare. Even if it's something you don't consider a jumpscare. The first Doctor Strange had a couple jumpscares. Like Strange suddenly waking up when Rachel McAdams is trying to revive him or someone suddenly getting attacked. Eternals was loaded with jumpscares as well. The Doctor Strange What If...? episode had a lot of jumpscares as well. Even the two Guardians Of The Galaxy movies had jumpscares and those are the most humorous/light MCU movies. I was expecting this movie to have all kinds of jumpscares though, especially since they said the movie is supposed to be more horror. And the current Hollywood definition of horror for the last 10-15, almost 20 years is jumpscares. Plus this is a Sam Raimi movie. When he does horror movies, expect Jumpscare City. Evil Dead 1 and 2 are filled with jumpscares. There is one pretty much every 2-4 minutes. I hate jumpscares though. Fricking annoying. I'll still see the movie though, but I'm not looking forward to Jumpscare City. Hate that an article confirmed what I feared about the movie. I was hoping when they said that the movie would be more horror, it would be imagery and atmosphere and all that and not rely heavily on jumpscares. But looks like they went the cheap way for horror aka jumpscares. One YouTube short of an immediate out of the theater thoughts/reaction I watched pretty much confirmed what was said by GingerbreadPimp. A lot of people are going to be letdown with the theories they created about the movie and will be letdown by the lack of appearances in the movie since what they want to happen won't happen Lucky for me, I haven't been theorizing at all, and there is no one I really hope to see. I'm not an X-Men or Fantastic Four fan, so I'm not "dying" or demanding to see X-Men or Fantastic Four appearances like a lot of people are, or hoping this movie is what brings X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool into the MCU. If they are going to bring them into the MCU, I want it to be a fresh start. No Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, no Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, no Jessica Alba's Invisible Woman, and so on. Just start fresh/hit a reset button on those characters. I already wasn't all that thrilled that they brought Tobey Spider-Man and Andrew Spider-Man into the MCU. But after WandaVision, I don't really speculate or theorize. It's pointless. Plus MCU marketing likes to use misleading footage now. Stuff is altered or edited out to hide spoilers. So no point in speculating and theorizing using trailer and TV spot footage when the footage probably isn't in the movie anyway, they dicked with it by editing out characters (maybe even editing in characters), or because of green screen/CGI backgrounds, they can swap out where the scene is set and the scene's setting is completely different in the actual movie than what we keep seeing in trailers and TV spots. That's part of why I haven't really being following Doctor Strange's marketing. I've only seen like two trailers and maybe 3-4 TV spots at the most. There is no point when I'm more than likely looking at fake footage or altered footage or something not even in the movie at all. This stuff kind of drives me nuts. Just like when it comes to watching and reading. I can post a wall of text comment on a YouTube video that is 15-20 minutes minimum, or sometimes I'll post a comment that is maybe 5-10 lines long or maybe just 5-10 sentences. People will tell me they have no time to read all that, which would probably take 90 seconds to read. But you serious though? (The question is aimed at the people lecturing me and stuff and complaining my comments/posts are too long.) You can't read a wall of text that takes maybe 90 seconds max and claim you have no time for that, but you can sit through a video that is about 15-20 minutes at the minimum and watch every second of it including the 90-second intros and outros? Ridiculous. And even when I do shorter posts/comments, I got people complaining I didn't give enough details or something. So that's why I do wall of texts to begin with. I throw in as much as I can in the first comment/post. It's pretty much a no-win for me no matter if I do wall of texts or a 2-3 word comment. The movie was NOT boring. Should've done better research. That final week before the movie released in theaters, plenty of reviews (including non-spoiler reviews) and news articles were saying to not expect another usual action-y Batman movie. It would be dialogue heavy and lots of Batman doing detective work. This movie was more about showing off Batman's detective/investigation skills than him using his fists and beating up bad guys all the time. I know I did my research and I enjoyed the movie. Was never bored once. And with the pacing and being interested from the beginning, the movie only felt like it was a few minutes over 2 hours than it being an almost 3 hour movie. Movie was good for me from the start. I did my research and knew to not expect action every 5 minutes or so since reviews and news articles for that final week until the movie's opening day were giving the heads up on what kind of movie to expect. This Batman movie was more of Batman being a detective and trying to track down The Riddler and it would be a dialogue heavy movie. It's not the usual action-y Batman movie we seem to always get. This movie is all about Batman being a detective and using his detective/investigation skills than his fists.
