Wanda is hands down the best character in the entire MCU

What a deep and complex character they have crafted across several movies and the TV series. Truly amazing and I love how she doesn't falls into the typical Mary Sue trap that woke writers like to do these days (looking at you Rey). She is realistic, complex, deep and indeed...troubled. Love it.

Too bad she is dead now. Unless they bring a variant into into the universe we are following, which won't be the same.

Also, A LOT of people are calling Scarlet Witch a Mary Sue. Not because of Doctor Strange 2 or WandaVision, but ever since she debuted in Age Of Ultron.

ANY female character that appears to be strong (as in written), they are automatically slapped with the Mary Sue title. So Scarlet Witch has been a Mary Sue since Day 1. That's also why a lot of people hated WandaVision. Too Mary Sue.

I do not and did not think of her that way BUT she did master her powers quicker than anyone and never had any incidents where her misuse of her powers caused damage. Because of this I can how she could be called a Mary Sue. I just did not because I liked that she was bad who changed to good and focused on that.

She used her powers to divert that explosion in Captain America: Civil War which destroyed a nearby building and killed a bunch of people so I don't think she had mastered her abilities at that point.

I definitely don't see her as a Mary Sue like Rey in the Star Wars sequels was. Rey goes from being a scavenger to going toe to toe with Snoke's guards within a few days and lifting all of those rocks. But that's what you get when Kathleen Kennedy pushes her 'The Force is female' feminist agenda on that franchise haha.

She enslaved an entire town. How is that not misusing her powers?

Good point BUT I think I was coming from the start of her appearance. When she first appeared those things did not happen. Only once she was established did that happen.
The reason I think this makes a difference is most super hero characters have some missteps once they get their powers but she did not have any of these. She was fully formed, so to speak.
Her mistakes as pointed out by both WhereIsRent and HarryShoulder are bad missteps (to say the least) but they are only done AFTER she is a rookie (for lack of a better term). So she had "Mary Sue" qualities up until a misstep could be more about character development and not skill development.

Remember also, I said I do not and did not think of her as a Mary Sue. I was just giving a point of view as to how she could be viewed as one.

"Too bad she is dead now"

Nah, they would be foolish to definitely kill her.

I quite like it that she died, it was a bit of a redemptive arc for her that she destroyed all copies of the Darkhold throughout the multiverse.

It also proved that she was truly the most powerful character in the MCU as they couldn't beat her.
