Movie was good for me from the start. I did my research and knew to not expect action every 5 minutes or so since reviews and news articles for that final week until the movie's opening day were giving the heads up on what kind of movie to expect. This Batman movie was more of Batman being a detective and trying to track down The Riddler and it would be a dialogue heavy movie. It's not the usual action-y Batman movie we seem to always get. This movie is all about Batman being a detective and using his detective/investigation skills than his fists.

Sorry but boring movie period. Up until now Dr Detroit, anyone remember that trash, was for me but this up to #1. Even if this was the first movie about Batman I'd feel the same. As far as silly plot lines and characters in past movies this takes the cake. Really the Riddler? Even Bain looked more interesting. Glad I watched on Max so I could fast forward 2/3 of this junk.

The movie was NOT boring. Should've done better research. That final week before the movie released in theaters, plenty of reviews (including non-spoiler reviews) and news articles were saying to not expect another usual action-y Batman movie. It would be dialogue heavy and lots of Batman doing detective work. This movie was more about showing off Batman's detective/investigation skills than him using his fists and beating up bad guys all the time. I know I did my research and I enjoyed the movie. Was never bored once. And with the pacing and being interested from the beginning, the movie only felt like it was a few minutes over 2 hours than it being an almost 3 hour movie.

I liked the whole thing. It dragged a bit for me "changing gears" into the final act, after the stuff with the streetlight (being deliberately vague; I'm avoiding spoilers), but not for too long. Just like the lull between grooves on a record.

yeah. I only made it 45 min in, and skipped to some action scenes then the end. didnt care about the characters at that point anyway.
it's well crafted, nice look and all, but too long, to many long shots.... heck, the ending had like 6 separate shots of them driving on bikes. and I saw too many long shots up front too. needed edited down.

You should've researched the movie. Plenty of reviews out there (even the non-spoiler reviews if you are afraid of the reviews being spoiled) along with news articles that said the movie has barely any action in it. It is more of a dialogue heavy Batman movie and it's more about Batman being a detective and trying to track down The Riddler than beating up bad guys all the time.

unfortunately, I did NOT research much, because that is an easy way to ruin everything with spoilers. sadly.
but yes, it wasn't my thing. it was very well made though, gotta be honest there. greats sets, lighting, ambience

Should've done better research on the movie. Plenty of (non-spoiler) reviews and news articles saying the movie is more of a detective/investigation movie and dialogue heavy Batman movie than a lot of the action-y Batman movies we've gotten before throughout the years. I did my research and the movie flew by for me. The movie felt 30-45 minutes shorter than what it really was.

If this was the first movie about Batman there weren't be a second one made. But if some of you liked it that's fine. I bet if they showed it in a loop at Guantanamo Bay the prisoners would break.
