Are you kidding? Please tell me you're kidding! I like McDonalds but at least recognise it for the junk it is! Yes, I think you're right, they were priced out of business by a McDonalds opening up so close which was able to undercut them. I think Dany sees him more as a wise uncle or something than an actual potential partner. I think Jorah realises this, he's seen her with other partners so I don't think he would be any more jealous than he was of them. I agree.. I think we've 'seen' north of the wall, we've had a season of Jon doing that, do we really need another season of more or less the same? It is rushed, I thought it would be more than 1 episode, but we didn't need it filled out too much more. That's what I thought as well.. the way it was worded for some reason suggested that it wasn't going to be a forever situation. She said she could never have children or Khan Drogo until the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. You mean like a dragon being killed or something? I agree Shogunofyonkers... nothing about this show is 'easy'!! It's not even easy keeping track of the characters. I do feel that this season has been rushed and I don't like all the convenient twists which don't make sense (such as the cave with the drawings of the wights, Benjen Stark appearing at just the right moment etc) but I still think this is the best, most complex, shocking and exciting show I've ever seen... Most of the complaints seem to be that we've not had another Red Wedding style character cull but as already said, sooner or later, things need to start working out one way or another! She blames Sansa for her fathers death.. so by that logic, of course she is going to be aggressive to her. Judging by her past behaviour, she probably would have killed Sansa if she wasn't family! I wondered whether he could see the future or whether it was just the past too... Either way, I think he doesn't really care, he said he knows what it was like to be Bran, but he isn't anymore, so who is to say he would have the same allegiances (or any). I've not seen all of those but I think out of the ones I have seen Trainspotting Fear and Loathing Dead Man I think, as a Brit, Trainspotting just seems more familiar. I thought the same.. I guess we will have to wait and see. Yeah, I don't get the Channing Tatum thing or Jude Law. I never really understood the attraction to Brad Pitt when he was younger but I think he has aged well! I agree, it is off topic however as we're all fans of GoT, a lot of us have used GoT examples.. I doubt anyone would have mentioned Kit Harrington or Natalie Dormer on another board. I agree but I think perhaps people are in love with the character more than the actor... it was the same with Jack/Sawyer from Lost but do you really see them much nowadays? I think Jaime is better looking than Jon Snow anyway. I also didn't get the attraction with Ygritte but my husband thought she was the hottest woman on the show. I think the issue is that there are a lot more male actors in their 30s/40s getting great roles than their are women.. people want hot young women and older, more rugged men. Men are still thought of as heartthrobs into their 50s but women, not so much: Leonardo DiCaprio (42) Christian Bale (43) Jude Law (44) Matt Damon (46) Jake Gyllenhaal (36) Mark Wahlberg (46) James Franco (39) Ryan's Gosling (36) Daniel Craig (49) Ben Affleck (45) Ewan McGregor (46) There doesn't seem to be any shortage of roles for them! They've made some great casting decisions. I could imagine Gary Oldman in a role like Meryn Trant.. a bad guy is probably more fun and seems to be his speciality! In the show at least... however, with regards to Olenna, I think she just wanted Loras to marry a young bride who would have 20 years or so of having babies in her, even book Cersei would only have 10 years maximum really. I can't remember the faces of all the people I went to school with every day, let alone someone I only knew for a few months maximum. It would never work nowadays though what with camera phones, they would all have pictures of him! I think probably Ian McKellan thought it would be too similar to Lord of the Rings? That would be good.. and he does have form for making these appearances (Friends)... I think he would make a great white walker!
