I agree, I found it a very intriguing film, I think it's the best film I've seen in a while but I can see that it would have lost some people. I gave it a 9/10. I agree... with the prostitute, she goes straight to the hotel, he's there waiting for her, she has sex and can leave when she wants. Plus I assume she knows that he is 'safe', no STI's and he's not going to become clingy/want a relationship... completely stress free. And besides, perhaps she just finds the whole thing a bit more exciting, she has the power and he has to do what she says. If the criminals didn't have guns, no one would need a gun to defend themselves. Besides, this film wasn't about banning guns, this film was about having tighter controls to mean that only law abiding citizens could buy guns. As a Brit, I find it astounding how easy it is to buy a gun in America! It's a fact that the gun lobby have more money and it's a fact that many people have been harmed by guns and so do want stricter controls... I've not seen anything yet that I find to be biased or incorrect but I will wait to see if my opinion changes in the second half. I'm really enjoying the film so far (about half way through) and don't find it slow paced (although it's clearly not an action film, it's designed to get you using your brain). I also don't see how you all view the anti gun lobby to be portrayed as more honest, I think both sides are portrayed to be scheming although obviously, some people have very real reasons not to want guns to be readily accessible. I guess it depends what you mean by 'hated' because Ramsay was an evil character, but he really was a great bad guy! I really enjoy(ed) these characters: 1. Ramsay 2. Jaqen H'Gaar 3. Olena 4. Littlefinger 5. The Hound Characters I didn't enjoy watching: 1. Ellaria 2. Catelyn 3. Rob Stark (rewatching, he was really arrogant!) 4. Melisandre 5. Bran I didn't hate it and agree the montage was well done.. i thought it was interesting to see a bit of background to the characters. I enjoy parts of it... but it's not a show that has me excited to see the next episode.. Definitely... he lives for her but she sees him as her own personal weapon to get what she wants. It definitely was a stupid thing to do, but he's still supposed to be reasonably young (do we think about 18?) whereas Jaime has lived through a lot more and is able to control his emotions a lot better than Jon.. he's never been able to express his emotions towards his kids or his sister. I think Dany knows what her father was like now, so she might think Jaime did the right thing... although she seems alright with burning people alive at this moment too! I don't think Jaime will die yet, I think he's still got a role to play and I am expecting a battle where him and Brianne face it off. I guess not being able to show your emotions would make you turn them off after a while. I've definitely seen another side to Jaime this season though, I always thought he was the strong sibling but he's very easily manipulated by Cersei. I think he was in shock when she said it which is why he couldn't react, and he knew she was going to die soon anyway.. I don't think he was able to show too much love for his children, but we did see it a bit with Myrcella! I think he would have been more angry about what it did to Cersei and Tyrion though. I'm not a huge fan of battle scenes either, but I do think GOT do it particularly well... they show the absolute chaos of it, particularly in The Battle of the Bastards I think. People are saying similar things about Jamie's charge in yesterday's episode but I just put it down to people not thinking straight in the heat of the moment. Jons emotions were high when he saw what happened to his brother and Jaime was convinced he was going to die anyway. Yeah, when we saw the Dothraki horde and the dragon, I was expecting both Jaime and Bronn to die but I'm glad they didn't... Its nothing new with characters escaping in this way though, it is a plot device that annoys me though when you're told that someone is a great fighter and then they're only saved by some lucky fluke of fate. Definitely true.. not a bad death as far as Game of Thrones goes! I bet Jaime wished he killed her in a more gruesome way once he found out that she was the one who killed Joffrey! Olena was definitely one of my favourite characters!! I didn't expect her to go. Olena is a pretty major character, we've lost the whole Tyrell dynasty! I think the best 3 episodes are Battles of the Bastards, Hardhome and the Winds of Winter but this was a brilliant episode with some spectacular moments!
