FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS reminds of Python style humor.
And I'm usually not thrilled with "musical humorists"
OOOH! I forgot!
Flight of the Conchords -- kinda gives me the Python content/setup/delivery jokes vibes.
is that what is known as absurdist? serious question, I really don't know. I totally get how people love it though, and I am not knocking it at all. :) Everyone has things they like.
another style that is not for me (yet I am not against it in any way) is comedians who just F Bomb non-stop, louder or softer, just saying it so much, doesn't not make it a JOKE to me. sometimes it fits fine, but just swearing a lot doesn't have a build up and delivery for me.
I like Bill Burr... he swears a lot, but not non-stop like the last Chris Rock I saw. He's just an example. I like Chris Rock too sometimes, but too much swearing feels like lazy filler.
I did understand the amateur delivery part - like those crappy almost home made advertisements with a $4.99 budget, but the content wasn't funny enough to me. still, I get it. We're all different. :)
I don't know any of you people. im just a guy on the net making random conversation. :D
wasn't comparing, just discussing. and I'm not lying. what point would there be in lying to online people you dont know, whom you already know will assume you are lying? I'd gain nothing from lying.
hmmmm... my smarts are "ok", to some I guess, but my stark, direct, concise commentary is sometimes designed to stimulate discussion without a ton of exposition involved. Sorry, sometimes I type so fast to get there, capitalization falls by the wayside. this is all throw away internet, water cooler talk anyway, not a novel.
Can you tell me some personal detail about it making you "feel better"? I think that will enhance my point of this thread.
Skin soft and medical is, of course a whole different thing. Is it strange a large portion of men don't moisturize their faces with foundation to keep their skin soft? Is that a girly thing?
Interesting take, and I'll agree somewhat.
But everyone knows that a persons doesn't normally look like they have makeup on. It's quite an obvious add.
Where as clothes are sort of required of everyone in modern society. But sometimes clothes are used to lie or brag.
Tight clingy tops over muscles or breasts, designed to show off.
OR another lie, bras that lift and also PAD. artificially enlarging breasts.
I actually dated a model with nice sized breasts - to note, that was not why I met her, she was a really great person first, so breast size was just a bonus - then came to find out later in the relationship, she usually wore bras with extra "comfort padding" or some such naming nonsense, that made them larger. She felt a little bad when reveal time came, but, seriously, at that stage, I was in love with HER, not her body specifics. so I showed her how little breast size mattered. ;) Again and again and again.
Clothes, can deceive, but they are also just a social requirement.
Oh. Didn't my answer sum it up already?
It's better to be honest with a women and explain that being above the average could be more painful than joyful, based on previous personal experiences. :)
I've no need to brag. The emotional connection truly matters more anyway. Being hung is just icing on that. ;)
Yes.
Reactions to a modern pandemic have proven a great many people are too selfish (scared) to not be asshats at the expense of everyone else's safety.
The plan is working exactly as designed.
Some of us are headed to Mars, until the rest of you die, rot, and get cleaned up by the animals. Then we'll be back.
that doesn't do it for me.
reminds me of the new wave of "comedy" that wants to exist by simply being weird. nothing laughable to me, just do weird things.
delivery was very amateur here to me. i didn't laugh, smirk or even smile once.
but comedy is pretty personal, really.
who? why?
I totally understand, it's not for everyone. Just wondered if anyone newer has tredded these waters yet. I enjoy their wacky, zany concepts.
shame the world has to be this way.
I mean in a traffic situation, if I was not paying attention (never happens) and cut someone off, I would make sure they saw hands up, mouthing "SORRY SORRY", but that's me.
maybe if more people would shout at them, "@$$HOLE!" they would, over time, start to understand the pattern? yeah, probably not.
we should go back to having punching people be legal. :D
yeah, I'm kidding, can you imagine? ....yet, still.....
Hahaahaa. Looks like someone lacks experience conversating with easily triggered internet peoples. Keep at it though, you'll get there. :)
Do you really, or making a standard joke?
Over my whole life, and all the douchetards, I've known, we've joked about that, but I never knew Amy one that actually tried it.
For what?
It wasn't constant like some modern humor
[deleted] sorry I confused this guy with some other art house type of director. ignore what I said, wrong guy, wrong statements
Board of who is it??
is this filled with his standard/awful whip-pan-stop camera movements that ruin the watching experience like all the rest of his?
I think he needs a better tripod if those are the only movements that work on it. They are not that expensive.
Some of us are honest due to potentially causing pain.
I'm not familiar with cranks incels hating makeup. shoot me a link?
