Everyone wants to look nice now and again. The inference that women who wear make up are lying seems unfair to me.

Eyelashes are one area where a woman's appearance changes drastically whether mascara is used.
If I like a woman, obviously I'm not going to be disappointed seeing them w/o makeup, but it can be a bit surprising when you experience it the first time.

I may be repeating something already posted, because the 1st respondent to this topic is someone I have on Ignore, but men lie to women all the time, primarily with our words, snd, as a gender, we encourage each other to do so in order to “score,” as if mating were a sport. This is pathetic and it disgusts me.
It also embarrasses me as a man that the (presumably male) OP thinks makeup is a form of lying. Poet Andrew Marvel wrote, “Wit is Nature to advantage dressed/What oft was thought, but ne’re so well expressed.” There is nothing deceitful about dressing to advantage. There is, however, something tremendously immature about feeling deceived by a practice that is fucking COMMON KNOWLEDGE.

I don't mind make up, but my wording was EXTREMELY concise and direct, skipping all the time wasting explanations about makeup: presenting a false self to others, fucking common as it may be.
Thus, my question: this is how women present a false image, what do men do to do the same? We GENERALLY don't put on foundation, skin toner, lip gloss, extra eye lashes, eye shadow, mascera and eye liner to be more attractive to others.... (I did stress GENERALLY)
but, we talk up false importance in money and jobs, it sounds like. dress nice, use cars... and it works (see my gold digger post, or jokes from Dave Chappelle)
So women leverage their looks, men leverage their providing, same but different approach. because the sexes knows what appeals to the opposite.

But even gold-diggers have their limits.
They conflate golddiggers and all women. Hiding behind words like "generally," "almost all," "most," etc. But in their minds, it really is all about if only they have money, they believe they'll get whoever woman they want.
It's never about effort or honesty. It's always trivial to them, money = women (because "generally" women are golddiggers, remember?) Therefore, the only reason why they don't get laid is simply because they're not filthy rich, nothing else.
I'm okay with gold-diggers, because there are some people who have absolutely nothing to offer another person but their money, and for such a person... a gold-digger is the ideal spouse, the only possible spouse!
Everyone else wants something besides money, a little kindness or hygiene or something, but a really dedicated gold-digger can do the world the great kindness of removing some of the real assholes from the dating pool.
