I quite liked it... I read that it was a tribute to David Bowie which made the whole thing make a bit more sense.
Exactly - the abortion was done but the doctor made such a mess of it, Baby's dad had to make sure she didn't have a major infection which could cause issues for her in the future.. so sad to think women were driven to make such drastic action and why abortion should never be made illegal!
I don't get the Patrick Swayze thing at all.. I guess he has a nice body but I don't find him at all attractive in this - either his looks or his personality.
I can't imagine anything worse than a holiday like this! So stuffy, talent shows, cabaret, the same people every day for 3 weeks.. what happened to exploring and discovering new things? I guess it would be good for families with young children as it's safe and has activities for them but as an adult, I would feel fed up after a couple of days of this! We have similar types of holiday camps Haven Holidays or Centre Parcs but all I kept thinking whilst watching this was how inappropriate the relationships were between the staff and the customers!
I agree he probably would have entered a plea of temporary insanity particularly as he had just found out about the baby. I don't think he could have kept his job though.
I agree.. I thought Finding Dory was worse but apparently others don't agree with me.
Sausage Party was FAR worse!
I agree, I quite enjoyed Suicide Squad (and this film).. I don't think anyone could say they were anything spectacular but they did their job.
I agree, it was just a bit of an easy-viewing tearjerker.. it wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the right notes emotionally (for me at least). I was crying at the end with Howard and Madeline. I did cringe a bit with the scene of Love, Time and Death on the bridge though (and the scene in the hospital) and I do think Whit, Claire and Simon are pretty much terrible people but as a film it was reasonably enjoyable.
I don't think Gregory has said anything (although it looks as though he will).. I think it's Eugene or someone else we've not even thought of.
I don't think he's actually ever going to trust Sasha, I think he's keeping her around as leverage or to torture but if he has got any intelligence, he would never trust her as part of the group. Eugene is easy to manipulate, Sasha is not.
I don't think Eugene realised that she was playing him, at least he didn't seem to.. I knew he would give her poison though, it was stupid of Sasha to think he would just give her a knife. I don't know what Sasha will do with the poison though, whether she will get rid of it or try and use it on Negan.
Negan does know something is going on (he told Sasha as much) but Rick doesn't know that.
Could have been that her mother was just trying to find reason in what happened... she knows her daughter has done something horrific and wants to try and understand why.
Plenty of people have morbid interests but don't resort to murder, that's what the mother was saying, she liked Stephen King books as a teenager and thought her daughter was just the same. I liked Marilyn Manson and horror films etc but have never hurt a fly!
I didn't get the impression that we were supposed to feel sorry for them.. it was just offering some background about what caused these girls to commit this awful act.
I think they need to be locked away in a mental hospital for a very long time. Don't let it be another case like with James Bulger where a pair of killers are back on the street before they reach adulthood!
I agree.. you watch a movie to be entertained but I'm aware that the most entertaining film won't always be the most technically brilliant.
I agree.. compared to some other film in the top 250, this film was great. It's basically a better version of Me Before You. I tend to rate films according to how much I like them so I know that some of my ratings will be unpopular - for example, I really didn't like Metropolis.. I thought it was good for being an original, but I thought the plot was dull and nowadays, the film would need to cover a lot more however I really enjoyed this film despite knowing it's not as original.
For me I thought it was about whether he was a liar or just wrong.. lying is an intentional act to mislead and I think the judge was saying that Irvings beliefs were honest (even if they were incorrect and abhorrent). They had to prove that he was intentionally manipulating facts rather than just innocently misunderstanding them. I am sure he was completely oblivious of his racism at least, he honestly believed that having a black servant exonerated him, in the film at least, he didn't seem to understand why people would find him using this as an excuse as odd.
