He could have killed Sasha but he is giving her a chance. She wouldn't show him the same consideration.

But Negan was also very unreasonable to Spencer and the other victims. Why didn't he give them a chance? Spencer didn't even do anything but play pool. Glenn and Abraham's death was to avenge the death of his own people, but then, why did Sasha and Carl live? They also killed his people. I would not want to live under Negan. He's too random and sociopathic. Just when you think he's merciful and judicious, he throws a perfectly good doctor into a furnace.
Spencer was a gutless little coward. He deserved what he got.

But that doesn't change the fact that Spencer was making a play for power and it just didn't turn out the way he intended. But getting gutted was a bit extreme. Negan wanted to show Rick that Negan has Rick's back. That's all that was all about.

shareYeah, I never read the comics, but that "sexual assault" on Maggie was about as PG as sexual assaults can get. And then they dramatized it as some horrific event. If they really wanted the drama, do what a lot of great directors do, and don't show the "rape/sexual assault" explicitly but make sure the audience is well aware of what is happening off camera. It's the only way for the effects to hit us hard, without having to actually pull the trigger on the whole raping their actors thing.
shareWell, he has very very good reasoning skills. For instance, he knows never to put the fat lady in charge of the food supply. That's some reasonable thinking there that Rick seems to lack.
