Critics' Consensus:

Well-meaning but fundamentally flawed, Collateral Beauty aims for uplift but collapses in unintentional hilarity.

Even 12 percent is too high for this garbage.

Damn, I watched it without checking what people thought of it. BIG mistake! What a load of garbage.

Drat! I like Will Smith and many of the others in this. I was hoping it would be good. I won't make the mistake of watching it!

i found it too cheesey

I thought it was kind of good. I mean, I didn't have a problem with it. The cast was talented....everyone did their job very well. I wanted it to have a bigger ending, but there was certainly nothing OBJECTIONABLE about it.

I agree, it was just a bit of an easy-viewing tearjerker.. it wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the right notes emotionally (for me at least). I was crying at the end with Howard and Madeline. I did cringe a bit with the scene of Love, Time and Death on the bridge though (and the scene in the hospital) and I do think Whit, Claire and Simon are pretty much terrible people but as a film it was reasonably enjoyable.
