lol idk you ever seen Green St Hooligans? Jk.
Well I mean I saw the female ghostbusters on cable once, and it had its moments. Cliffhanger will probably have some good things, but most likely not match up to the OG whatsoever!
I would have to go with Lambs in the end, because of its end; it’s happy-ish...the ending of Se7en is such a DOWNER.
But objectively, I might have to go with 7. I like the cinematography better, and the surprise with Spacy is great. And Lambs is kind of hokey, with Fosters accent, and Lector, and Buffalo Bill. Then again, it’s a movie and those things work in a good way. One could say the cinematography of 7 and Pitt’s acting was goofy too.
Looking at what movies were coming out around May 2nd, 1997, "Volcano" and "Lost World: Jurassic Park" both came out right before and after AP, respectively, and both were pretty successful at the box office. So maybe that's why. Maybe people were saving their money for the action, special FX flicks.
For AP to make almost $70 mil at the box office, as a comedy, is pretty respectable. And with it came a craze that everyone from kids to older folk, and everyone in between. That craze carried over to AP 2. And AP 2 was built up into such an event, with great marketing, a killer soundtrack with big names (Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, R.E.M.) and music videos on MTV.
It's not like Mike Myers was on a roll with his movies, as if everyone was going to flock to watch AP 1 just because HE was in it. He had made the Wayne's Worlds, but it had been a few years since then.
In the end, I think that it takes wide-audience to make a comedy a blockbuster, and I'm not sure if enough people knew what to think of AP 1 for it to have a wide-audience.
There's a stigma surrounding the need for male enhancement.
No I don't think he did care. It is unfortunate for Jean-Claude's family, but Jean-Claude should've known better. If a person is going to take out dirty laundry for a price, they know the risks.
Idk about Kimmy but I don't think Amanda will...
I'd say Chiles counts! I love the others listed. The Maestro lol when he finally came out and conducted, and we see that he's the "Maestro" of a small ensemble...sooo funny. Ramon is another one of my favs, especially when he's messing with Jerry in the pool.
Yeah I enjoyed it! I can't recall much from it, except for Ron Perlman, but I do remember being entertained and interested just watching it on a laptop.
How did you come to that conclusion just from watching the scene? The whole movie is a spoof of 007-type movies, and in 007 movies, he has a different love interest every time, and nothing is said of any past lovers.
It was a huge movie, especially for a comedy. It was like "The Hangover", or better yet "Ghostbusters". Merchandise, a great soundtrack, and quotable lines were prevalent all summer long.
I saw an interview where he said the only good rock n roll movie was "A Hard Day's Night". All the others sucked, like the Elvis movies, in Cobain's opinion.
Maybe so, but I enjoyed the movie. I liked the characters enough, and I thought it had a fairly original ending by not having the nerd and Beth Cooper become bf/gf.
Mickey is awesome. He and Kramer could've had their own episodes.
Also, at the beginning of the movie there are pictures of a boxer along with other family photos. This hints at the fact that Craig's dad was a boxer, which is alluded to in his "You live to fight another day" monologue.
Debbie <3 When she jogs by the fellas at the beginning..."Heeey guys." Oh my heart.
I recently watched it for the first time in a long time. That and the 2nd and 3rd are on Netflix. I was about 9 when it was released and it was "So tight!" XD Man was it hugely popular with the kids in my class. Since it's rated PG-13, my parents weren't really draggin me to see it, but I did finally see it at a birthday sleepover. A sleepover that was co-ed! :O Not that anything happened of course. At least not to my knowledge.
Anyway it was good stuff when I watched it a couple weeks ago. Dated of course, but it holds up for what it is. And it's a pretty good action movie.
Really, it's about even with Point Break, more or less. I like PB more though, because Swayze is just great in everything, in his own way. lol.
Yes and he could turn from kindest guy in the world to the meanest, as quick as lightning in a bottle.
That is one of my favorite episodes actually! Now that I think of it. She was great, along with "Starts with uhhh 'Duncan'!!!"
"Now Craig, let me tell you what your problem is: you got no game (wink at Dana)...Now your father: he got game."
