This movie has absolutely no originality. It tries so hard to be your typical 80's teen flick and all it does is reuses tired old plots that were done a million times. The nerd is in love with the popular blonde girl who always has a douche jock for a boyfriend who treats her like crap. She snubs the nerd at first but later on learns that he's really a great guy and realizes her boyfriend is a jerk and dumps him for the nerd.. The End..

How many times has that been done? It's not only unoriginal, it's also very unrealistic...

Yeah, I had that vibe about this movie as well.

Maybe so, but I enjoyed the movie. I liked the characters enough, and I thought it had a fairly original ending by not having the nerd and Beth Cooper become bf/gf.
