Someone on rotten tomatoes must be getting paid..
"Let there be Greeen"..
(Especially after Sorbet made that racist comment about black folks in Ferguson. For someone making a movie about gawd, love, peace and understanding, i was actually taken off guard when he made that statement. Thus, for Sorbet, it's obviously all about the bucks..)
the three things i liked about this movie:
1) Dom DeLuise (I can never get enough of watching him whether he's in drag or not.)
2) The werewolf having a conversation while smoking a cigarette.. (Perfect camera angle/placement.)
3) Jonathan Pryce.. (So out of his usual character!)
Isn't this also the same as Star Wars Phantom Menace?
Star Trek Nemesis
X-men
The Matrix?
Those four ladies that came out of those pods, were hot.. (which i'm sure Sam had no problem getting stripped by them)
(Ya Ya DeCosta was one of them, i think. I loved the different skin tones)..
and Olivia Wilde can look amazing even with a potato sack over her head..
Sacrifice Trope.. (Matrix is another one.)
Save the World Trope..
Race Against Time Trope..
Us against them Trope..
Bad Guy vs. Good Guy Trope..
Love Story Trope..
Betrayal Trope..
And if they wanted to reboot Jeff Bridges in the Next Tron, they'll use the "Death and Resurrection" Trope.
(Examples: Harry Potter, Jesus Christ, Buddha, Zombies, Vampires, Some guy i dated.. It never ends, man..)
Someone will call ICE on her, i bet..
(Illegal CLU Evader)..
I also liked seeing Olivia Wilde casually stretched out on the couch, during their conversation.
I agree, she is stunning!
I liked the bonding between Sam and his father while Quorra was re-booting.
Very casual, touching, especially when they started talking about the Ducati. :)
i thought it was okay?
It's not an easy task, apparently.. it looks like they've improved it, with Captain America. And i thought they did a great job with the Xmen's last stand.. Apparently, the actors couldn't move around very much while talking?
Where as in Tron, the young face was done very well, in different light settings.
She knows exactly what we know today..
There's no such thing as loyalty..
I remembered that scene for years as a child even through my teens.
Of course, there wasn't any DVD, but when i went to the local library and we could check out the Vinyl Albums, i listened and re-imagined that song for a very long time.
She was perfect..
I didn't realize until just watching it again recently, how funny it was, when she was re-performing the Music Box Song, with Dick Van Dyke, and shoved him into the mirror he was caught up in..
Knock yourself out!
literally..
Yep.
I have no more sympathy, for racist stereotypes in movies.
If the actresses/actors of all cultures and genders, didn't knock each other over for those kinds of roles - well, we wouldn't have those kind of stereotypes.
I think all of the family was annoying except the father.
The maid - or the modern version of Hattie McDonald, the valley girl daughter, as well as the dipshyt kid...
I think if humans did this in real life, there would be more active shooters running around.
Hate to say this, but the actions of everyone involved - including his brother, would have brought out some MAJOR paranoia, and trust issues.
On a daily basis, we're witnessing that the only way most males, especially, deal with their anger is just go out and shoot everyone..
We have enough whack jobs running around here, just losing their minds on a daily basis..
Can you imagine how many more we would have, if some company decided to INDUCE people's insanity?
I can see their "template consolation" already, after there's been a massive killing:
"Thoughts and Prayers..." Sound familiar?
Yep..
The dog.. he had such a nice profile!
hell, I couldn't stop looking at Tina Turner..:)
Wow..
I can't believe the racist comments. But what's even more hypocritical are the racists themselves. Can't tell you how many times, how they "don't like minorities" - and i'll use the term loosely..
Yet.. when they see a pretty/beautiful one? They pursue that woman like they never heard of "Dave Duke".. Trust me.. I'm a product of that, and millions of others, through absolute love or plain old rape. My dad was a grand wizard of the KKK. He, like many of the Klansmen, "forgot" about racism, when they laid eyes on beauty, resilience and strength, that a white female snowflake will never have.
And let's not talk about those lily white females who conveniently overlook the white guys - but can't grab a black man from the night club fast enough..
Such hypocrites..
Where the parents are talking with the priest, and Barlow shows up on the ground, first as a piece of cloth that gathers contour that tah dah!! it's Barlow!!
But i will ask this question? Aren't vampires supposed to be invited into your home? Though Straker was there, Barlow can't come in without an invitation..
Also? Straker in this scene was magnificent. That smile while he laid out the bargain while thumping the cane on the ground was like a carny making a bargain with someone in the audience..
Great acting.
I think Joseph Gordon Levitt stole the show, actually.. He really hammed it up, and it worked. I've always admired his talent.
As for Marlon? How did he steal the show? Every time he's in a movie, i already know exactly what his character role will be..
The one that is:
One dimensional
Stereotypical
Requires no talent
Very "Minstrel" like the rest of his family
And contributes absolutely nothing to any film - other "comedy relief" if you want to call it that..
