He did a good job.
DD Lewis, was in character on and off the set of that movie.. That meant Paul Dano probably wasn't going to get any acting tips from Daniel Lewis..
I don't know about anyone else, but Lewis, can be an intimidating individual on/off movies sets.. Just to co-lead as the villain probably wasn't the most fun experience one would have playing his role.
31) Gretel is easily offended by witches without a second thought, but befriends and hires a fan boy who looks down her blouse and feels her boobs while she's asleep.
I don't think she would have killed her..
She just basically bleeds feeble minded young females dry. The weird part, is?
Her MO is never to leave the character she is fixated on. They leave her..
The scene between her and Harry about the TV was heart wrenching..
But i also think:
The scene where she's walking in the winter down the street in that red dress without saying a word..
Where she's on the train asking if it went to Madison Avenue..
Where she's in the office asking the clerk why she wasn't called..
Where the guys come in and take her away
And of course, her stay at the hospital..
Where her friends come to visit and that one stands up and looks at her.. No words needed to be said..
If i recall the camera man got in trouble for "shifting" during the scene..
The director bawled him out, asking why the camera moved during Ellen Burnstyn's scene? Apparently, the camera man said he was crying..
that woman was powerful!!
It's Florida.. They're backwards..
seriously..
I've seen the seediest part of drug use..
The characters are all beautiful.. Including Ellen Burnstyn. That's only thing that i find an amazing paradox to real life druggies.
All of them have these beautiful teeth, they're clean, young, fresh looking, and though they don't wash their hair? They have PLENTY of it. They also look more like they've been working out with personal trainers every day, versus the emaciated drug instill weight loss you see on the average junkie.
I understand society likes watching "beautiful things"?
But i grew up in Chicago/Detroit areas. The druggies were 24 years old and they looked like they were 54+.. Their teeth are mostly gone, rotted or in dire need of repair. Hair matted, had lice, or half bald, most of the ladies would wear those Beauty supply store wigs to cover their baldness in order to prostitute themselves. They stank, had deep creases in their faces, the whole nine yards.
Regardless of the "reality" of drug addiction and what the movie conveys.. This movie has haunted me for years after watching it.. It pretty much comes close to the addictive personalities of drug addicts.
"paddy" is an urban term used for white chicks. It has nothing to do with powder..
Paddy was a term used by old african americans like the character in the 60's and 70's...
When the cops came into the black neighborhoods and loaded black folks into their "vans" to take them to jail, it was called the "Paddy Wagon" - due to it's white color.
And actually, these days, black women give better head than most "paddy" chicks..
I thought she was beautiful, whether she was in a kimono, or a baseball cap.
The cat was cute too.
your typical male to male contest of, wait for it.. "who has the bigger d**ck"...
Yep. Even some of these people sitting here "debating" about fake reviews, are probably fake themselves. But they will lie through their teeth swearing up and down they would never do such a thing.
I noticed Imdb was selling it's soul to fake reviews before they finally shut it down.
Hell, they even had some of the people that were starring in the films, the directors, screenwriters, and extreme fans - posting links to their movie's website - on IMdb. I distinctly remember one SYFY movie where the mother of one of the child stars was posting saying the date and time her kid's movie was going on air - BEFORE the movie even came out..
Imdb used to have real reviewers give a rating. Some of them were given spoiler alerts in their reviews as well. This was great. This way i could make a decision whether to hit or miss..
All of a sudden, even 2 star SYFy movies were getting 5's and 10's.
It's happening all over.
Yelp, Rotten Tomatoes, Indeed, Disquis, Quora, Amazon online, you can't look at a movie review or a popular store item without someone working for that company, a screen writer, PR person, or their local clerk posing as a customer, user, or even worse, a "real" reviewer.
And yes, i think Imdb is lying like a Persian rug regarding the movies they will be streaming later on their websites, especially Amazon. They want that money, man..
There's only word to describe the capitalist society in which we live: SHAMELESS..
Well,
I think he did great.
A hell of a lot better than Keanu Reeves, an American trying to act with a southern accent.
Every time he opened his mouth, i cringed.. I'm sure Al Pacino and Charlize Theron did too..
well,
if Brahms was living in the walls for about 34 years, they should have smelled him a mile off, if he didn't take baths, or showers.
Jezzus, come to think of, he might have had lice too.
The hat, the bod, the face, the teeth?
Karl Urban can't do anything wrong in my book..
It's all typical movie troping.
So many spoofs have been made about it?
The scene in Scary Movie comes to mind where she has a choice between a banana and a gun, and she grabs the banana.
Then of course, there's the famous GEICO commercial with the Chain Saw Massacre Killer almost rolling his eyes..
Yeah..
But what got me was when they were all standing in the police station in front of an exit door. Yes, this big as** door right there next to them.
And they're yelling at each other: "We need a way to get out of here!!"
Mike! Dude!!
I would LOVE to see that!!
Great questions?
And i'm sure someone who helped write the script even worse the marketing reps still trying to push the old DVD's, or works for the movie company just might come in here and try to "have an answer" for everything.
That's what they were doing on the old IMdb before Amazon took it over.
