Probably because I'm still kind of new here.
Thanks. I will always stick my neck out for whats right. With all of the facts available, its hard to argue why Cannabis should stay illegal on the Federal level. Absolute hypocrisy.
Who's Kane? Not really sure what your talking about?
I love the snow, but agree with you about the rabid snowplowers that are dumping salt and grinding the pavement. Some of them are absolutely shameless. Back when I had my dog, I wouldn't walk him in certain areas because of the salt.
That's a shame. Why would you lose respect for him? Not everyone who uses pot is a "pothead" or "stoner". Just like not everyone who drinks is a "drunk" or an "alcoholic".
Eruption by Harry Turtledove was a good book that depicts what would happen if Yellowstone erupted. It wouldn't end the world, but would effect global temperatures, crops, etc. Its a 3 book series.
I found Grey Gardens to be very disturbing. I don't know why, but that doc stuck with me for a while after watching it.
I really didn't watch much this week. I finished Season 1 of Taboo for the second time since a friend wanted to see it. Excellent.
I'm not really a comedy guy, but watched Goon: Last of the Enforcers. It was a worthy sequel, but when is a sequel really better than the original?
And lastly I watched the remake of The Hills have Eyes. One of the rare instances when a remake was better than the original.
Here's a good read.

It's called Cannabis and it doesn't kill you like crack and heroin. Its non toxic and safe. I think Carl Sagan summed it up perfectly with this quote.
“The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.”
-Carl Sagan
There was a show about this on The History Channel a couple years back; 10 Ways The Earth Will End.
Besides Nukes, asteroids and pandemics, a black hole or gamma ray burst sounds like a pretty shitty way to go.

Might not have tasted good, but it was still edible! With modern canning technology, I'd bet canned food would last longer if stored in a cool, dry place like a basement or root cellar.
Have you ever had Richardson's Farm Ice cream? Damn good stuff. I get their milk occasionally too.
I'm not a fruit guy, but have grown Husk Cherries the last couple seasons and can't get enough of them. If your not a gardener, definitely seek them out at your local farmers market.

Canned food lasts a very long time. That "expiration date" is actually just a sell by date, so you wouldn't go hungry anytime soon. Rice, beans and other dry goods in mylar bags with O2 absorbers can last 20+ years. But ya, fresh food is better.
Not sure where I would move. Definitely out of New England...Probably somewhere where you can grow food 3 seasons out of the year.
I'm honestly not sure how I would handle a permanent solitary lifestyle. Would I mentally break after a certain amount of time? Probably. Hopefully there would still be dogs.
Ok...for entertainment, I think I would definitely be tempted to mess around with some serious military hardware haha. That Last Man on the Earth episode where he was driving the stealth plane through the streets cracked me up!
My teacher went to school with Jeffrey Dahmer. She said he seemed perfectly normal...
Anyone looking forward to the Alienist? Comes out on the 22nd I think.
Hake is underrated and underutilized in the US. Its a good alternative to cod and haddock which are over fished. Another good option is Cusk. Taste similar, but has a more meaty texture. Some call it poor mans lobster. It makes an excellent fish stew since it doesn't fall apart like other white fish.
I grow a variety of greens in my garden every year. Swiss Chard is probably my favorite, sauteed in olive oil with a little sea salt and garlic. I love broccoli rabe too, cooked the same way.
Did I mention I eat a potato a day? Probably one of my favorite foods.
"Beer and soup, that's my thing."

Ok I guess I agree with that. My personal checking account is also free and the account for my investment property gets interest too. But I still can't imagine bringing in $500 worth of quarters and expecting the cashier to count them. Honestly, I would be embarrassed.
Just change your bank if your not happy with the service. I like smaller, local banks compared to the big ones.
