Very interesting question. The human species will probably kill itself before we get the chance to destroy any other planets, thankfully. Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't wiped ourselves out with Nukes yet. Genetic modification and Artificial Intelligence is something we have been playing around with and is a line we will cross in the near future that could be disastrous. Another thing that comes to mind is Biological Warfare. Who knows what kind of sick shit we will create....Maybe we already have? It's a shame Global Warming is so political because its going to effect future generations. No one can be 100% sure if it exists or not, but lets not ignore it. We have never seen Cyber Warfare on a LARGE scale. Can you imagine if the Grid went down for a year? Untold numbers of people would die. I really hope humans never learn to control the weather. I can see that one backfiring. One last thing that is disgraceful in this day and age is the deforesting of the Amazon Rain forest. Once its gone, its gone. Is there hope? Theres always hope but we need a miracle. I can't imagine ANY bank counting quarters for you. That's not their job. Just roll them, it won't take long. Coinstar takes 11.9%, which is not bad for the service provided. My bank has their own coin counting machine (self service), which only charges 6% and that 6% they donate to charity, so I have no problem paying it. Nothings free in life! Golf has never been my thing. I used to enjoy the driving range though. When I was a teenager, my friend and I lived near a Country Club with lots of woodland surrounding it. One day we found a giant pile of gold balls they irresponsibly disposed of. Between that and the balls we regularly found in he surrounding area, we had quite the collection. During the off hours in the summer, we would go up on the high teeing ground and have a blast. Ahh the good ole' days. I'm probably forgetting a lot for a lot of what I saw this year, but off the top of my head... Best movie would either be Mudbound or The Lost City of Z and Best TV Show would be either Taboo or Season 3 of The Leftovers. Out of the Furnace. Woody Harrelson absolutely nailed it. What if Kevin Spacey raped/molested you? Would you stop watching his movies? Has anyone seen "The Nightmare". It's been on my Netflix list forever and haven't gotten around to watching it. I'm interested because I have very vague memories of sleep paralysis as a child. VICE has a fascinating documentary on their Youtube Channel called "Living Without Laws: Slab City, USA. Really is a shame about the earthquake. I actually haven't heard much about the recovery and apparently its still slow going. Hopefully it doesn't turn into another Haiti situation, unless it already has. Sounds like a cool knick knack you found. Cheap too! Close to 10 years ago I ordered a Khukuri from Nepal. The BhojPure in particular. It was designed for villagers and farmers, much heavier than something the Gurkhas would carry. Nepal still has a thriving hashish tradition. Used to be totally legal until Nixon threatened to cut off Aid. There's some really unique genetics in that country too that haven't been tainted yet. Thankfully there's people who are preserving it. Lots of villagers rely on it to put food on their table. Same deal in the Himalayan region of India. Wow, jealous! Sounds like one hell of a trip. Check out the Food Ranger on Youtube. He's basically devoted to authentic street food and I think he has a few South East Asia videos. Just leave your MAGA hat at home...lol JUST KIDDING! What part of Nepal did you visit? I've always wanted to go there. Hahaha ya I heard Hollywood is a bit on edge right now Hell yes. Born and raised on the New England coast. Haddock and cod are king here. Lobster is overrated in my opinion. I would rather have some Jonah Crab. I was at Dunkin Donuts a couple years ago and the person in front of me ordered a coffee with 10 creams 10 sugars. I shit you not. Any Yerba Mate fans? Interesting stuff. If you like green tea, give it a try. It does sound complex, but its actually an easy read with a fast passed, fun story line. Check if out of you like Historical Fiction. Dollar cost averaging. I've been practicing that with silver each month. Not expecting to get rich, but I'm in it for the long run. My favorite Irvine Welsh novel is "Filth". Great book, lousy movie. Been reading the Richard Sharpe Series. Finished Sharpe's Trafalgar today. Its a 21 book series based on a mans progress in the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars. Nope .I was a vegetarian for almost 4 years, although I did eat wild caught fish. This movie made me glad I made the switch back....I think. I thought Paul Bettany was perfect for the role. Although if something does happen, I think him and Crowe are too old for the parts. Pretty sure Jack Aubrey was mostly in his 30's for the duration of the series. Sometimes I think Michael Kelley could have been a good Maturin. Picture him 15 years ago with a pair of round spectacles lol Best news I've heard all year!
