The first ratings are often done by the people involved with the show. Season 1 will probably settle around the high 8's.
I think it's gonna be good. After 2 episodes in, it looks promising. 2nd episode is directed by Greg Yaitanes, he did the later seasons of Banshee.

They have stunt horses really good at tumbling without hurting themselves or the riders. Back in the day there was only one horse could do that, that horse was in pretty much any movie that needed a horse to fall.

The first episode has some Easter eggs for game of thrones viewers, but doesn't look like anything that is gonna take away from the story. Really if you watch this first, game of thrones will have a lot of house of the dragon Easter eggs.

Yeah it was politics. They are like 60+ years without a war, the longer they go without a clear line of succession, the more likely there will be factions formed that result in a civil war. Seems like that is gonna happen anyway on this show.
What happened on the show itself is pretty tame compared to stuff they talk about in history and lore.

I watched the pilot and I believe it is better than the game of thrones pilot. I found it easy to see how a first impression of certain characters will change over time.
Holly is gonna be in the spinoff which will also be a walking dead crossover spinoff where she discovered the formula for blue sky and uses it to make a cure for the zombie virus.
Pretty much everyone on these 2 shows had psychological disorders except for Walt Jr and Howard.
