Let me ask the people who side with Miranda over Daniel these questions: This is now officially my favorite Disney DTV movie. "10 Most Unlikable Animated Movie Heroes" "10 Most Controversial Disney Movies (& Why They Should Be Reimagined Today)" I know I'm crazy. Chuckie in "Home Movies" "Bruno Madrigal and Self-Confidence (or lack thereof)" "10 Harsh Realities Of Watching Old Disney Movies" View all posts >

That is not likely since dads are important in many Pixar movies including this one. But that ending was really weird and awful... As much as I doubt that the OP will ever read this, here is what I think: You seem to love to throw the word "pretentious" around, but that is clearly the pot calling the kettle black. This movie was not your cup of tea, that is clear. But I don't see how that gives you the right to try to stereotype people just based on that they like a movie even though you don't. Just don't ever watch this movie again and move on with your life and let us who like it enjoy it. Also, it is weird that you seem to think that a king's life has to be all sunshine and butterflies just because he's a king. It is made clear in this movie that Bertie's stuttering started because of childhood traumas and that he has struggles even as an adult... Or he should have at least been allowed to talk to his father just like his brother did. I really don't get what kind of message that awful ending was trying to send, but it completely ruined the movie for me. I liked it too, and I could really relate to how hurt Ralph was by those mean comments to his videos. While I must say that I was rather shocked by this ending, it is true that Woody never bonded with Bonnie like he did with Andy. Besides, it is true like a different poster said that he was prepared to leave all of his friends for a museum in Japan already in "Toy Story 2". Oh well, I think we know that Woody and Bo will reunite with their old friends in the next movie anyway... It is more like it's an homage to older Disney movies, so we don't have to think that he literally became Queen Grimhilde's mirror. People's hatred of this movie is nothing but ridiculous. But it proved that Miranda didn't care about the kids at all, they were nothing but showpieces to her. She clearly did not care about her children's feelings or spend time with them except for parading them in public with her new boyfriend. She was only interested in her fabulous career and rules and punishments and keeping up a fancy façade and ruining everybody's fun. And yeah, getting a new man into her panties, because really, only her emotional needs and her right to have a good time mattered to her. She was very selfish and petty and used the kids to hurt her ex-husband out of spite just because she knew that he was the better parent. There is really not one single positive thing, that I can say about this horrible woman whom you defend against all logic. And I know that if I had been one of two older kids, I would have done everything to ruin her perfect life until she begged Daniel to take me. Seriously, all of the kids were too well-behaved in this twisted situation to make it realistic to me. And we both do know that gender has everything to do with this. Do you think that a woman would have had to deal with social services just because she was unemployed when her husband divorced her? Or that a man would have gotten the house or the full custody of the children in this situation? While I would have wished that you left your rant against Republicans and Tories out of this, I agree with you about Miranda. She's such a horrible human being, that I can hardly find the words for it. View all replies >
