Is this some kind of prequel of snow white?

I have the impression the king was set to be the mirror in the snow white story, for a moment feel like Disney is planing a cinematic universe with all their old IP

Im the only one who got that impression?

It is more like it's an homage to older Disney movies, so we don't have to think that he literally became Queen Grimhilde's mirror.
