I love this episode. I have never really understood people's intense hatred for this episode. I have seen it many times and still don't quite understand the ending but I just love the haunting feel of the episode and that song. I also love the rural setting. Not a lot of Twilight Zones have such a rural backwoods-type setting.
Definitely Nan Adams in "The Hitch-Hiker."
I think if the people she met along the way had been dead they would have been able to see the hitch-hiker. The sailor looked right where the hitch-hiker was and the sailor didn't seen him. That tells me they were all alive. I think when they encountered Nan they were actually unknowingly meeting Nan's ghost that didn't know she was a ghost.
I didn't like Hingle or Blondell in their roles(though Blondell did a decent job playing a character everyone was supposed to hate) but I thought Moorehead and Cumming gave great performances in their episodes. It's hard to play a role where you are the only character and I think both did better than anyone could have expected.
I really hope they don't have plans to make them a couple. I thought it was hilarious them pretending to be married undercover and then hating each other in 'real' life. I want to see more of that.
"The Encounter"
I don't consider any better because I think the Twilight Zone is the best show of all time. That said I do love many other shows including most of the ones mentioned.
It's really not that common in real life.
On the show however the following happens throughout the show:
Hannah (white) dates Marcus (Black)
Clay (White) dates Sheri (Black)
Alex (White) dates Jessica (Black)
Justin (White) dates Jessica (Black)
Mr. Davis (Black) is married to Mrs. Davies (White)
That's quite a few interracial relationships. There's probably even more than that. But that all I can think of right off. It seems like shows do that a lot. It's like they want to tell the audience that these white characters are not racist because they will date black characters.
I actually really like "The Bewitchin' Pool." I don't like the dubbed voices but It doesn't ruin the episode for me. I loved when they played every episode. I think it's good for them to play some lesser-known episodes during the marathon because there are many people who have never seen those episodes.
Yeah I guess there were more. But it is definitely rare.
I remember hearing about that. That is probably the only time a sitcom has killed off a major character and not had it be for comedy. Will they do it with Kevin Can Wait? We will have to wait and see.
That's actually a loss for the show. I was thinking he was going to be the big blacklister of season 5.
Then I going to second "The Grave" and "Mr. Garrity and the Graves." Always liked Mr. Denton as well. I didn't like "Dust." That's about all the western episodes I can think of.
I've only seen the first four episodes yet but I really haven't been impressed so far.

I can't believe you didn't mention "The Hitch-Hiker"! My favorite episode! Some of the best acting, writing and directing of the whole series.
I think it's a-NEE-ta KOR- so but I'm not 100% sure.
Yes. I know what you mean. But, it is a little weird on high school age kids. They have to get their parent to sign to let them get them. What parent would do that? If you want a tattoo that bad you can wait until you're 18.
When I first read this I thought it was crazy but I kind of see where you are coming from. One of the things that struck me about Hannah is she talks about how she isn't a slut but when she gets at a party with Clay they get pretty steamy pretty quick. It was their first date if you can even call it that and they were going to do it right then and there. Hannah stops not because she doesn't want to go that fast but because she thinks she will "ruin" Clay. Later, she shows up at a rapist's house and undresses down to her under-where and gets in his hot tub. It's almost like she wanted to have sex so she put herself in that bad situation and then wanted to use that situation as more of a reason to kill herself.
Trump won. Get over it! He is doing a great job for our country. Hannah didn't win. She gave up. Trump never gives up.
"Parental consent is all that's needed."
That's true. I guess Justin's mother let her son get his tattoos. She seems like a bad enough Mother to do that. Did any other character's have tattoos?
