I like "The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank." Great episode! I love how the townsfolk reacts to Jeff raising from the dead and their theories as to what happened and why he was acting so weird. So funny. Most of the comedy episodes are among my least favorite but this one works.
Agreed!
She married him for money, nothing more. He was a successful business owner. All she would have to do is work at the twin oaks and she would be set for life. He was much older then her so she would inherit everything when he died.
Yes I agree. Dracula is definitely the most evil. Almost all the rest have a certain sympathy given to them.
It was played on TCM a few years ago but it is odd they don't play it more often. They have played the other universal classic monster movies such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, and the Wolfman as recently as Halloween.
Yes good spooky ending! the videotape almost adds to the uncertainty in this episode.
I here! My username was justinr1496 on IMDB and is JR-TV here. I didn't post a lot but loved following the conversations on the boards, especially during the marathons. I'm so glad the marathon play-by-plays will continue on Moviechat!

10. Great way to start the series!
They did mention where Barney went. He took a job on the police force in Mt. Pilot(state capital?). He pretended he had a very important job with the big police station but in reality only made people coffee and did other unimportant tasks.
He is talking about the episode "Man in a Hurry" from season 3. Great episode! One of My favorites.
I didn't find it without suspense. I didn't get that the specialty is a human until at least near the end. I don't think the diners knew. If they did, and didn't have a problem with it morally, they would realize that they would be on the menu eventually. Great episode in my opinion.
I'm younger than most here but I started watching AHP when it used to air on Retro Television Network digital sub-channel. It aired at 12AM so I stayed up quite a bit past my bedtime at the time to watch it. I loved this show and have now watched nearly every episode. Great suspense from the master of suspense!
I actually really like this episode. I know its hated by a lot of people but I think its pretty haunting! I don't nessarily understand the ending but it is still a great episode. I think it is probably the second most under-rated episode next to "The New Exhibit."
