Some candidates:
Pat Hingle in "The Incredible World of Horace Ford."
Agnes Moorehead in "The Invaders."
Joan Blondell in "What's in the Box."
Fred Beir in "Death Ship."
Bob Cummings in "King Nine Will Not Return."
I didn't like Hingle or Blondell in their roles(though Blondell did a decent job playing a character everyone was supposed to hate) but I thought Moorehead and Cumming gave great performances in their episodes. It's hard to play a role where you are the only character and I think both did better than anyone could have expected.

shareAre we referring to Patricia Berry in "I Dream of Genie"? I thought she passable -- considering what she had to work with (Jack Albertson as the genie was much worse). I also had no problems with her in "The Chaser"; in fact, other than that incredible shot of Shackleforth entering Prof. Daemon's home, I thought she was the highlight of that ho-hum offering (again, with the material given her, is was amazing she was able to emerge with her dignity relatively intact).
