I noticed during the opening credits, the studio used African drumming, that wad a bit shocking considering the era. Not to mention, Stuart's character spoke the local dialect.
I am watching it now, that charging elephant that got shot was rightfully getting revenge for his homie! I felt bad for the native that got crushed when it fell on him. However, I hope the footage was stock as well. It was a heart wrenching scene. I use to love ivory, until I learned they had to kill the elephants!
He might have learned to accept it, the same regarding Sonny Bono and Chaz. We can only wonder.
In the YT podcast " Under The Hollywood Sign", the narrators mentioned due to his slightly dark complexion, in his "salad" movie years, he was often cast as a character of Middle Eastern or Indian descent. It would be cool if there was a biopic about him. I have never seen Frankenstein, but might someday, I am not really into classic horror genre films. But might watch one during Halloween.
