Yeah, IRL I find that people are pretty cool generally. I’m lucky to have faced very few instances of outright bigotry in my day to day. That’s not to say I haven’t heard horror stories from friends, but personally I find that society in general is pretty accepting these days.

Hence why it’s so fucked up to see the amount of venom spat out here towards LGBT people on the reg. I came here initially for the same reason I assume most do, because I’m a movie lover who loves discussing movies. I’m in no way a social warrior but I’m also not a coward who can back down or acquiesce when I see blatantly bigoted, factually incorrect bullshit being flung by bullies who think an open forum means a free pass for hate speech. Hence I find myself often on the defensive when all I really want to do is chat about movies, like the name of this site suggests I should be able to. I can imagine a person of colour or even a woman might feel the same way when I see countless disrespectful threads about them too. And the moment you stand up to them you’re labeled “woke”, like not being a prejudiced ass-clown means you must be part of some nefarious movement trying to brainwash society. Not everyone is a sexual prowess man. Some just nuts in 2 secs. Different people do different things. One is not necessarily better than the other.

Sex is for procreations first and foremost, other side effects are just luxury.

I haven't seen anyone specifically advocating violence against fellow citizens on an incel board myself. But if people are advocating violence there, or in white nationalis groups or any other group, the FBI damn well out to have a look.
