I hate fools, usually fundie Protestants who ask things like "Are you Christian or Catholic"? And they don't even think of that as an insult. They actually think Catholicism is a separate religion than Christianity. I guess they think they worship the Pope, not Christ.
But now you're blaming the wrong person for the crimes of another. Are you saying parents are now responsible for the acts of their children? And the killer was 18 and an adult. Are parents responsible for the crimes of their adult children?
Okay, that's a much better way to handle it. The original person is not molecularly disassembled. A projected clone is created to act in a different location. When the clone's purpose is done, it's disassembled.* The original person just watches it all from a remote location.
*But then you'd have a whole "right to life" movement evolve around clones. They would be against killing the clone and would claim it's a new person who has a right to exist. 🤣

But if you read the entire statement she just wants forgiveness for her son. She's not condoning what he did. It sounds to me like the standard Christian axiom "love the sinner but hate the sin". The media is trying to sensationalize it.
