Nobody on this thread understands Jamie Gertz's appeal and the reason she was cast. She does the hot Jewish girl perfectly. It's a refreshing change after all the blonde WASP bimbos.
No, this movie is classic from beginning to end. One of the most original flicks ever made. If you pass on it after that review, it's your loss. It sounds to me like the OP was somewhat offended, by Tura especially. He just doesn't understand camp.
The nicer suburbs are all white and Asian and vote Republican.
Yes, it's expensive to live near the beach.
I'm not sure if people still think movie stars walk down Hollywood Blvd. They don't. Hollywood is mostly post-punks, homeless and tourists. But the film industry is big here. Every 10th person is a film extra or is writing a screenplay.
Nah, it's a great city though. I grew up here. But if you're not gonna live by the beaches there's no point. The interior suburbs are all hot paved over track homes. The beach cities from Malibu to Laguna are all great places to live.
Once I had a thunderous knocking sound in my ear. I cleaned my ear out and there was an ant.
That's true. Like I said, someone's making money.
A poster did a count recently and there's about 300+ daily regulars here. Its competitor FB has maybe 50. FB is run by a troll clique, not a pleasant place.
MovieChat is the only game in town to continue the IMDb message board legacy.
Okay, I get it. I recall the swaying. Still, it was a rather unique shtick. I can't think of another performer who built that into his onscreen persona. I'm not sure it was fake though. The guy was probably a raging alcoholic.
Yes, but as the monster, with the blockhead and bolts on his neck, this monster looks pretty good, comparative to the 30's creature. Sarrazin in the beginning and these other guys played the monster without all the "monster" physical effects.
I don't remember him from when he was active, only in old movies and tv reruns.
But I've never seen him falling down drunk. He was always tipsy but in control. I mean he never tripped or messed up his lines. He played it smooth. How was he sloppy?
April, look at their copycat competitor FB. I know, I'm from there. MovieChat is far superior.
I'm still trying to find out who runs this place now and I run into a brick wall. But somebody is in charge because they're collecting ad revenue.
I think the mods do a good job. We don't need some heavyhanded fool deleting everything. But I want to find out where the buck stops since the original founder "Jim" seems to be dead or incapacitated.
Lol. Yeah, I've encountered this chilone fool.

And a Millenial Afghan/Muslim kid I worked with years ago was a HUGE fan of his!!!!

It's great when you meet someone who steps outside of cultural and generational stereotypes. I know a young black millennial who hates rap and listens to Italian opera. Us individualists are still out there.
Well you really fooled me. I thought you were some fundie wacko. 🤣
Damn. She goes back. And she played some iconic roles.
👍
Wow. Hopefully she got back to earth okay. I'm sure Dr Smith tried to screw things up some how.
I'm gay. So I'll lust after her all I want.
I am shocked his board doesn't have more threads, at last going back to IMDb. He had a great shtick on "Good Times". Decent comedian and actor.
He also fucked super bitch Ann Coulter. So kudos to Jimmy for that, I think.
He plays Elvis in the new movie.
Do you know the words homosexual and heterosexual were only invented in the 19th century? Before that people were just people, not defined by a sex act.
Yeah, sex is an act, not an identity.
That being said, as long as there are Christian wackos out there trying to take away our rights, we need to be vigilante and organized.
But we need an all encompassing term. Many of us prefer just the word "queer" to describe folks who are not your average straight folks. That works for me.
The alphabet soup has to go!
