I don't block ads because I want to support the advertisers who support MovieChat. But some of these ads are counterproductive to selling their products. Someone needs to be fired at the ad agency.
Yeah, I used to support this site by clicking on the ads as well. But once it became absolutely crystal clear long ago that the site is no longer being upgraded and fixed and that there's no proper moderation ect, I put a stop to that real quick. They won't get a single penny out of me anymore. Ever.

I'm still trying to find out who runs this place now and I run into a brick wall. But somebody is in charge because they're collecting ad revenue.
I think the mods do a good job. We don't need some heavyhanded fool deleting everything. But I want to find out where the buck stops since the original founder "Jim" seems to be dead or incapacitated.
I hope Jim has at least immortalized this site, made provision for its continuance in the event of his incapacity.

A poster did a count recently and there's about 300+ daily regulars here. Its competitor FB has maybe 50. FB is run by a troll clique, not a pleasant place.
MovieChat is the only game in town to continue the IMDb message board legacy.
I once had to take a friend to the ER to get a bug out of her ear! Seriously, it flew in and couldn't figure a way out, and every time it moved she'd spasm and panic, and I couldn't let her drive like that.
Of course by the time the doctor looked in her ear, it was gone, it probably left while we were arguing and she didn't' notice it go.
That's nothing compared to the one I get at the bottom of every page lately. Its a pop up insurance as of some kind, with flashing police car lights thats causing me eye strain.
