Ah okay thanks for clearing that up. I'm usually pretty good with faces but gotta admit both actors look very similar to me.
Yes! That's exactly what I thought while watching this movie tonight. Honestly I thought it worked very well, made it all the more creepy for me.
Benedict Cumberbatch would be AMAZING as Frollo! He plays very sympathetic characters and also the villain really well. Physically he's a great match too!
Good for him, I love it!
Man I'm so disappointed I didnt come here and read reviews first before I bought it. I dont touch anything the woke cult has infected if I can help it. I got halfway through and couldnt finish it, the political messaging was so over the top and gross I'm surprised I got as far as I did. On top of that its not even scary or tense like the previous movies were at least a little bit.
All of that costs money...if this were a real scenario most of us would be SOL
The summer of "love" in 2020 says this comment didnt age well
Yeah I agree, I know there was a lot of hype around this episode but it seemed to lack the intensity I was expecting. I wasn't really surprised with any "twists" either. The whole climax with Gus and Lalo in the lab felt pretty slow and drawn out. Lalo deciding to take his time with Gus makes sense considering his character is arrogant and overconfident, but he's still not a total idiot. Tbh I kept expecting Kim to come in behind and be the one to kill Lalo even if that wouldnt totally make sense...I guess the series has just kinda spoiled me and its hard for a series to not peeter out eventually.
Not for me. I absolutely love slow burners like this and the atmosphere was completely immersive I didn't want it to end.
Its possible that she would be able to have outer body experiences where she is able to astral travel or experience the world through her mind instead of the conventional methods of travel.
I didnt realize how much I liked Howard until Jimmy and Kim started escalating their schemes against him, combined with his show of guilt over Chuck and his crumbling marriage, the end was such a stark contrast to whatever karma, if any, he deserved. He might've been unlikable to some viewers, but not so unlikable to deserve that kind of malice.
There are several instances where I gained respect for his character: his challenging jimmy to the boxing match in the ring to hash out their differences. Jimmy was passive aggressive and sneaky and Howard was willing to just let it all air out in the open and give jimmy a chance to let his steam off in a fair(er) fight. That's class. Also his offering jimmy a job back with HHM despite knowing jimmy was shifty. His speech to jimmy and Kim at the end was really poignant and spot on, he could see they were borderline sociopaths and he called them out on it. You could tell they knew everything he said was true. It was a bit like Nacho's final speech to Hector. He just didn't know it would be his last.
There was another comment somewhere that Howard dying the way he did was EXACTLY what Jimmy and kim deserved to see. The trauma of witnessing the brutal execution of a man they were conspiring to tear down really is such karma. Its possibly the only thing that could've made them feel any guilt for their actions. Howard actually seemed to have a bit of an arc, despite being a minor character and this was just perfection from the writers to really understand how we felt about him after all.
Lol this is my favorite thread I've read through on this site. I love how we're all passing along movies where he's possibly shirtless or "in shorts"! I had a big crush on him too from this movie. I know he's meant to be a bit sleazy but I've always been attracted to that type of personality, high energy, fast-talking, creative, always jesting or teasing. And unlike Monte, at least he was honest about what he was. I agree with so many others here, if I were Mildred I'd have at the very least entertained his advances. I'm off now to go watch his other movies and find those salacious scenes where he's wearing shorts. Yum.
"Handsome in a disreputable way", that really hits the nail on the head for me. I loved his portrayal of Monte and think he's quite handsome with a dark mysterious vibe. I can totally see how Mildred could be swooped up in his attentions. Remember its a credit to the actor that we come away disliking him. That was his role here.
Pretty much. In this day and age her innocently saying that would be met with encouragement and excitement for her to transition immediately. Its not very progressive, actually(OP). In their eyes you're either a girly girl or a boy. Even though apparently they cant even define what it means to be a man or woman. Why cant she just be a little GIRL who likes to play and get muddy?
If her character isnt the perfect manifestation of a sociopath, I dont know what is.
Team Nacho here. It was a good death, strong way to go out. I was actually so angry when they killed him even though he did what he was supposed to do Gus sacrificed him anyway.
Does anyone know exactly what those people were doing at his house? Was it a criminal investigation? It looked too irreverent to be a normal moving day.
I have to rewatch the first 3 seasons again soon its been a few years. I loved Chuck though. The kind of character you "love to hate". Chuck and Jimmy's brotherly relationship felt like the authentic rollercoaster a lot of siblings experience. Chuck was so full of complexity and had me feeling a full spectrum of emotions toward him through each episode. At times I rooted for him, feeling sorry for him. Other times I couldnt believe how nasty he could be to Jimmy. The dynamics between them as brothers really hit home and felt like real life.
I disagree. His"illness" really clashes with his dignified, logical, straight-edge personality making him more nuanced and not some 2D character. I loved his character everything about him was made to elicit contrasting emotions. I couldn't help but hate him and also sympathize with him at the same time. On the one hand he was extremely competent and successful and on the other hand he was just pitiful and sad.
His death hit me a lot harder than I expected. He was the only likeable character on the cartel side of the story and he really had substance. So much potential to grow into something more. I liked what he said when Don Eladio asked him what he wanted, it looks like he finally got it at the end.
