4. Every second of every movie is hand-crafted by a team of people agonizing over the details. You think things just get up on screen without it being deliberate? Thus it's reasonable to analyze even the small details, and the OP was analyzing the larger ones.

I remember seeing this with friends, and again in school, and both times I pretended to be horrified to fit in with the reactions of everyone around me. But in reality I wasn't horrified or grossed out. She chose that path and consented to doing that degrading, exhibitionist display, and I would've even found a party like that hot. That character was also far better off than everyone else in the movie, in terms of consequences for her addiction.
Still, sucks to be her of course, and I wouldn't wish that kind of addiction on someone, but even then I'd seen way worse shit on the Internet.

You have to be logged in to see his content, which is all replies to other people. He does support Biden's policies and not Trump's, though it's not rabid or vitriolic, at least the ones I can see after logging in. Things like:

You might not have power to change it, but you (and I) bear responsibility insofar as you're aware of it happening and know it's wrong. A sin that our modern society creates, but it would be more sinful to pretend you're entirely disconnected from it.
That kind of guilt can maybe one day be harnessed to create change, when the right circumstances arrive and we do have some power over it. Similar to how the Christian Western world^1 became more and more aghast at the sin of slavery, and how finally they could stop it in our societies.
It is sinful that we torture animals for our progress. We know it's happening, we know it's not even limited to the most necessary of situations, and maybe we're even making progress towards outlawing it.

Not a single Republican has rioted over the attempted assassination and criminal levels of "negligence" that led to it. Yet a single drug-addicted felon dies of an OD in custody, who has a violent past of pointing guns at pregnant women during armed robberies, and leftists literally conduct krystalnacht in every major US city over months. They terrorized locals, killed multiple people, caused literally billions of dollars of damage to small businesses and their own neighbors.
