The Fugitive. I especially like the first hour or so. I’m also a fan of Harrison Ford, and put him with Tommy Lee Jones, hey forget about it. Though I do enjoy US Marshalls, which I actually saw a couple of times on cable long before I saw Fugitive. I like Wesley Snipes and I thought it was cool we learned his character was ex-special ops. And Downey Jr. being a double crosser was cool. “Why’d you have to kill that boy?” Great line reading by Jones imo. I had never put 2 and 2 together with the mom’s tone and I’ve seen this movie a million times. I like how the movie crammed so many family dynamics into so little time. “Get em to a hospital...fast.” First time I saw this, I was like “whaaaa?” It definitely showed me how ruthless of an outlaw Lithgows character is. It was a one of a kind voice. Airborne is hilarious. Twister is pretty good too. I watched it in theaters and I enjoyed it. It’s epic, based on fact, has conflicted characters, and the end doesn’t disappoint. It was a new Jeep for an old Camaro or something that probably had to be fixed up every weekend. Even though the Jeep was torn up, it was more or less a fair trade in the realm of fiction. First time I saw that scene I was in college and it was disturbing even then. The audience cares about Murphy a lot even at the beginning. The first 3 X-Men movies, although I enjoy them all. The original Star Wars trilogy sort of follows this pattern as well. Maybe every one asking for smokes was a regular and Dante knew what they usually preferred. Happens all the time. I like Clueless more because it’s a more interesting plot. It doesn’t use a villain like Regina George, making it more good natured imo. Well I could understand how someone might not enjoy those particular songs. I’m a big fan and I might skip over those as well some days. But “In My Life”, “She Loves You”, “Please Please Me”, “She’s Leaving Home.” I mean come on. Great songs imo. What’s your favorite band? “Yippee!” Or “this is tense!” He closed much too early. Growing up we had the first one, plus the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th I believe. The 5th one where they reunite with that little sharp tooth from a previous sequel is one I really remember liking. The 2nd and 3rd one were good too. Nah he probably kept on in his ways. No doubt. In fact Robbie should’ve stayed with whatsherface, his first girlfriend. She was hot. “F*** y’all couch n****!” And then they just leave him there after breaking his legs or whatever. That was an instant classic. I don’t care for this movie as much as most but I wouldn’t say it was boring. It’s fast paced, and there’s always something going on. I do find it to be somewhat anti-climatic. The way it ended with him ratting out his partners just didn’t deliver as much as I thought it was going to. All of these movies are A1 to me. Seems like a good list. A little too favorable towards 70s movies imo but people do say that was a golden age of movies, because it was. Each movie has a great performances and each was directed by a well-known director.
