Yeah those new fans really carry 40 year old franchises, do they? I loved JP3, haters can go F themselves. No its not perfect. Its far from it. But its an innocent, harmless movie that doesn't destroy the lore thats been set up or fucks around with the universe. The added mystery of the Spino was great and I hoped they would follow that thread some more. Sadly. They should 100% bring back Sam Neil or Laura Dern. Same goes for the original kids that played in the first one. More original trilogy characters is what most fans want. I would be amazing to see all characters come together again to tie it all together. I would like to believe you, but I don't see it. If this is true, then why is so much effort being put into making the movies work in China and profitable in China? You see so much China-pandering nowadays in movies, its become very noticeable. From hiring loads of Chinese actors to making entire scene's in China or have China be important to the plot. Also many Chinese studios working with American studios. Its all China nowadays. If studios only get like 25% of Chinese box office, then why the F would they invest so much time, money and effort into pandering to the Chinese market? Pirates 5 was pure shit. Even Pirates 4 was better than that.. Solo was just soooo bland. JW FK does NOT deserve these poor ratings. You may not like the movie but you cannot deny the quality of it. There is a difference between a bad movie or a movie that's just not your taste. Still doesn't answer my question. TLJ and TFA were both rehashes of previous movies in the franchise and did NOTHING new to the story whatsoever. Those movies are even more rehashes than this one is. Still they get rated waayyyyy better. And Solo for me is the blandest movie of all time, hell even the colors in the movie were bland and greyish. Yeah I loved it. I'm just happy my favorite franchise is back and alive. Sure there are loads of things I might have liked differently, but like you said, its just very enjoyable. I don't know. I am a classical liberal (what in the USA would be considered a conservative I gues?) and I didn't see it like that at all. It was more about animal rights then anything else. And messing with mother nature. The bad reviews are probably from people who expected way too much outta this movie. I liked it. No it doesn't. But they should use and underlying theme and roll with it. It looks like they are doing that now looking at the ending of JW FK. Yeah I agree that the movie should have been shorter for the story it tried to tell. If you didn't like this one, maybe you'll like the next one. JW1 is so different from FK, that who knows how different JW3 will be. Maybe it will grow on you, maybe it won't. For me it depends on how JW3 will become. I kinda disliked JP3 as the ending to the franchise. I always thought: 'really, thats it?'. But now that JW has come out and the franchise keeps going, JP3 is just a nice little side movie. Cool and fun dinosaur adventure. It doesn't make or break the franchise (in my opinion) and you can skip it if you are turned off by it. For me, JP3 also grew on me. Sure, JW FK is kinda hard to skip if you want to follow the franchise with JW3, but hey, you don't have to watch it again if you don't want to. I just liked JW FK alot. It could have been alot better, sure, but I liked the story. I think people just expect waaay too much. Thats the scary part of it. This thread is so ridiculous that its amazing. Keep it up guys! Don't overreact. This movie is hardly as bad as TLJ was. It doesn't destroy old lore or makes the old movies unnecessary. It also doesn't destroy the accomplishments of previous movies, like TLJ does. I could go on and on but I will leave it here. The ending is also fine and it leave the possibility to make Jurassic World 3 amazing. TLJ on the other hand is worthless and destroys everything that came before it and makes people not excited about Episode 9. Also Episode 9 can never fix the problems of TLJ. JW3 can easily fix the problems with JW FK. That's the problem. People think the Jurassic movies are about dino's in a park. It isn't. Its about science and the will and power of mankind to go too far with science, never learn their mistakes and eventually cause their own demise. That life will find a way and cannot be controlled. That's Crichton. He just used that idea in a dino theme park story. What the Jurassic sequels need to do is find what Crichton means and thinks and use that in the sequels, which they did. Maybe not executed the best way, but they are paying a lot of attention to the details of Crichton's books and philosophy. Jurassic is bigger than just dino's in a park and its time people start to realize that. I agree. Its all about expectations. The thing people seem to forget is that is its impossible to recreate the magic and succes of the very first Jurassic Park. NO JP or JW film will ever be as good as the first one. People need to just let that go and enjoy the new films for what they are. Just enjoy the ride. As a fan, at least be happy the franchise is alive and great. The new films don't destroy anything. They aren't horrible either. Some are better than others, but I love them all. Fallen Kingdom has its highs and its lows. Its highs are very high though. I can pinpoint at least 4 scenes that were goddamn amazing in every aspect. It also has more lows than some previous films may have had. ''Fallen Kingdom, on the other hand, doubles down on the horror elements'' This can be a turnoff for some fans, sure. But I love the fact that they choose to just do something different this time. I heard the next one, JW3, will be a return to form in tone. So more akin to the first JP. That makes JW FK just a nice little deviation. Nothing will be sure, if you didn't like FK, you might like the next one. Thats the fun of this franchise. At least be happy it didn't kill the Jurassic lore like The Last Jedi did to Star Wars... yeah that was an apato, but those are smaller. And they could be young ones. You still have to suspend some disbelieve sure. Ah, we need to get rid of white people. Got it. When will the cleansing begin ? *laughs like a maniac* There was no brachiosaur in de mansion. It was a huge mansion. I don't think that size was a problem, maybe they targeted the younger dinosaurs from each species to make it fit. Its also more profitable to sell the younger ones because they will live longer. Just like we sell puppies and kittens. JP3 is harmless fun. I like it alot. TLW is story-wise maybe not so strong, but the music and directing is great. Jeff Goldblum just carries that movie, just like Sam Neill does with JP3. They make it fun and great.
