It started great and is already a hit outside the USA.
I really don't get the bad reviews for this movie. It was fun and had great special effects, gorgeous set pieces and a good cast.
Not a game changer - but a very enjoyable and entertaining film!
And good set up for the next film!
the question is, how did "jurassic world" get more positive reviews, when "fallen kingdom" is undeniably better made in terms of direction, special effects, set pieces and so on? the only good thing j.w. had in comparison was a more interesting premise (fully functioning dino theme park). so do critics do their reviews based on the concept rather than the actual movie?
shareI enjoyed it about the same as the first JW. It's got better action and the characters are more likable. But the first one did have a better sense of pacing and buildup to that final battle.

They are even trying to delete critical reviews on YouTube right now. Cause they knew that this is the worst shit ever released with a Jurassic Park label put onto it.

I think that honor belongs to JP III. But opinions differ and I enjoyed JW2.
And even so I don't like JP III so much - for me the whole franchise didn't have one really bad movie so far.

shareYeah I loved it. I'm just happy my favorite franchise is back and alive. Sure there are loads of things I might have liked differently, but like you said, its just very enjoyable.
