WB is struggling, might explain why they still try to push the DC thing even though they only have one truly successful film and there is no guarantees that will repeat. Perhaps if they cut the budget to Tomb Raider 2 and keep the advertisement cheap it may be worth a go, but its domestic performance was sad and the international wasn't world shattering either. Rampage wasn't a good idea to begin with and a sequel would be Pacific Rim foolish. RP1 is simply too expensive to risk on just ok box office I would think.
I don't like ignoring people generally, but you are right..hell just ignoring Doggie would get rid of most of the Trump threads alone.
If you have Netflix and you are in the US..its available if you want to catch it before seeing Avengers.
Hmm not a bomb but not exactly a hit either. I agree with darkpast if it finishes over 200 mil it’s done ok. But it also puts it in a position for diminishing returns if they try and do a sequel as the film from all indications is just an ok film.
Thor, 7 and Thor: Ragnarok, 8. The third film is more fun, but the first actually represents the character better as far as the comics I remember. No interest in seeing Mama's Boy and never heard of Les trois p’tits cochons, maybe check it out.
Manhattan Baby (1982 Amazon Prime): "An archaeologist opens an Egyptian tomb and accidentally releases an evil spirit. His young daughter becomes possessed by the freed entity and, upon arrival back in New York, the gory murders begin." Stars: Christopher Connelly, Laura Lenzi. Not one of Fulci's better efforts 5/10.
Insidious: The Last Key (2018 NetflixDVD) "Parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet, as she is drawn back to her ghostly childhood home, where the terror began." Stars: Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson. Another entertaining addition to the series, however the character of Elise and actress Lin Shaye are better as supporting character rather than a focus 6/10.
Deadly Target (1994 Amazon Prime): "Hong Kong police detective Charles Prince (Gary Daniels) arrives in Los Angeles to extradite a notorious Chinese gangster back to Hong Kong for trial. But soon, his suspect escapes. With the help of renegade cop Jim Jenson (Ken McLeod) and beautiful Pai Gow dealer Diana Tang (Susan Byun), Prince tracks the ruthless gangster down." Stars: Gary Daniels, Ken McLeod, Byron Mann. Not much to say its a passable film featuring Daniels, ok fight scenes a lot of bad acting and questionable writing. 5/10
hmm, I am not sure if this would have made it better for me. I have witnessed Kylo Ren fight a couple of times, even at Luke's age and assuming lack of consistent training it would still be hard for me to swallow Luke would lose to him even with the aid of the walkers. Luke would have been better used in some kind of sacrifice involving Snoke, a legit opponent(well he was legit until his lame death.)
I suppose if the female form bothered me then I would agree, however it does not. If the film is appropriately rated, then there is nothing to complain about (Rated R for drug and alcohol abuse, language, sexuality/nudity and an intense action sequence ). Of all the scenes involving nudity, walking back and forth naked is pretty tame.
My primary hope was it would fix Rey and make her co stars more valuable to the overall story. That Luke would be important to the story and be used well in moving the trilogy forward. Instead Rey still seems like an overpowered character that has no serious obstacles. Finn is more worthless than he was in TFA and is now saddled with probably the worst human character added to the trilogy. The Poe character seems incompetent and the Admiral he deals with more so. Luke was completely wasted and was so unlike the character he was before that he simply wasn't believable. The got rid of the only serious threat while leaving Ren as a weak villain and made more of a joke of Hux. Phasma might as well not have been brought back. RJ left nothing to look forward to in part 9. It really did the opposite of what most hoped it would do. Its Star Wars version of Highlander 2.
I think its how the central creatures are presented, they worked for the most part in their American remakes as well. They are not simply ghost, they kill with relative ease and they are for the most part inescapable. They are also human looking but move in somewhat inhuman ways. Not all Japanese ghost characters work as well as these two you mentioned, but those two work very well.
I so wish they would have set this after the TNG movie timeline, it would have saved some of the criticism without having to deal with fact the series looks out of place with the rest of the ST canon.
I rarely buy movies now, so when I do I lean towards higher quality, limited edition. With 4K becoming the norm the visual quality difference is even more pronounced between DVD and blu ray as up converting can only do so much with a low resolution image.
So you were not one of the people that gave it a D+? I wonder why so much negative initial reaction...not that I give much credence to cinemascore in general.
Hey you don't like it that's fine. It achieved what a film is primarily supposed to achieve above all else and that is all the matters.
I have a hard time seeing DVDs making a comeback the way vinyl has. No reason for them to.
Come on, there is nothing quite like listening to the sound of that old DVD player playing a classic DVD that cant be matched by todays blu rays and streaming ;P
She was in Southland....The Purge....Deuce Bigalow ...a few other things....not sure how she and Aubrey Hepburn could be mentioned together.
Are people making that claim for an actress this young?
She is fine, she is a central character of hit show that is also very popular in pop culture in general. I have seen her in other things so as far as acting goes she is very good for a child actor.
I watched it the other day, very entertaining film. Its rare the third entry of a movie series is the best.
If you shoot them they typically don't do it again ;)
It really depends where it is, in a neighborhood chances are kids are going to be all over the place, so unless it becomes a regular thing and they didn't do any damage I would probably let it go. Adults I would be more weary of as they know better and have little reason to be running around the neighborhood like a child.
In more rural areas that is a bit different, its rarely necessary to go far onto someones property in those areas so if you catch someone out there that should be taken more seriously.
A whole series of films exist for both those characters lol
I think the mask is pretty good it has nicely weathered appearance. I am not enamoured with the rest of the trailer and concept. But we will see.
