Shatner! Why should this even be a question? "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." It's a good episode but not one of my top favorites. Just doesn't have quit the effectiveness as "The Hitch-Hiker" or "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." I've only seen season 1 but so far mine in "Gambling for Meat." I love Jerry Van Dyke. "That's why I have stated in another post that the two people I most hated in this movie were Norton, the Insurance Manager and Keys the Claims Assessors because they both personified the mindset of Insurance Companies." They have to make a living and do whats right for the company. They can't just pay out every claim without at least looking into it. The death was fishy. No one saw him fall and he had a accident insurance policy out two weeks before the accident. I didn't like how Norton treated the wife because he had no idea if she was a murderer or just a grieving widow. Keys treated her with respect and at least gave her the benefit of the doubt until he had at least some evidence that she was crooked. Keys was just doing his job and doing his job well at that. If he hadn't stayed on the case, they would have gotten away with the murder and his company would have to pay out 100,000 dollars. That's a lot of money today but think about how much money that was in 1938 when the movie is set. I haven't done the math but that is probably well over a million dollars in today's money when you consider inflation. An insurance company would have to look into such high payouts or they would run themselves out of business. Yes, I guess she should. Franklin is like many spouses in TZ that don't treat their wifes/husbands right. "Escape Clause", Time Enough at Last", A Stop at Willoughby" and "What's in the Box" come to mind but I'm sure there are others. The movie you're thinking of is "Tormented" (1960). I actually love "The Fever." I can't believe you would consider that one wretched. You're exactly right on the others you mentioned but not "The Fever." Agreed! I like every season (even Season 4) but season 1 is the best. I second that. Definitely the most depressing. But it was his own fault. Boris Karloff in "The Walking Dead" (1936) plays a ex-con that was framed for murder and sent to the electric chair. He is sort of brought back to life and sort of takes revenge on the people who framed him. I consider Karloff the good guy in this movie because he was just a poor guy with a rough past trying to return to society and be a law-abiding person after being in prison until the bad guys come along and offer him a job but really only want to frame him for a murder they plan to commit. Yes it possibly could be. I've seen about half of each of those shows and it doesn't ring a bell. Of course, it could be in the other half or another show entirely. Hope we all find out what it is. "Tormented" (1960)? Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960). I love cheap low-budget horror films and this is what Alfred Hitchcock wanted to recreate with Psycho. He made a classic black & white horror movie that actually had a great story, cast, and most of all direction and score. It's just as effective today as when it came out in my opinion. I could be wrong but I think I remember Rob Petre saying that line in an episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Not sure which episode though. I can picture Rob telling this to Buddy and Sally in the writer's room. Possibly "The Screaming Skull" (1958)? I have no idea what show this is from but it sounds really interesting. Would like to know what it is. 10 9 8
