"Ninety Years Without Slumbering"

Here's a related question. What's the best episode with a poor title?

I've always loved "Ring-a-ding Girl," but I hate the title.

"To Serve Man"- an even better title when you realize what it really means! lol

"A Hundred Yards Over the Rim" is another title I've always liked and "Spur of the Moment". I tend to favor the time travel episodes.

Some excellent episodes with boring titles- "The Hitchhiker" and another time travel episode "Back There."

I suppose all the titles can't be great ones. I read that Jerry Seinfeld insisted on simple titles for the episodes, e.g., The Pen, The Boyfriend, etc. H said that he didn't want the writers wasting a lot of time trying to come up with clever titles.

Two episodes with terrible titles: "In Praise of Pip" and "Deaths-head Revisited."

"mr. denton on doomsday". "the monsters are due on maple street". "nervous man in a four dollar room". "will the real martian please stand up?". "one for the angels". "a quality of mercy". come to think of it, these happen to all be really great episodes too. i always thought "the lonely" to be a pretty simple average title almost misleading to one of the most far out amazing episodes on both tv version and on the twilight zone radio dramas.

gotcha,
i was a fly on the wall,
had you caught,
i went to sneak out keyhole,
but like vinegar returned for more,
my guard was down chilling on the wall,
heard gotcha and saw a paper rolled.

A Hundred Yards Over The Rim: not an episode I care for but the title is lovely, rather poetic for a Zone.

Passage On The Lady Anne: lovely title, and the story has always moved me in its wistfulness and overall romanticism. It's intensely emotional, and stays there.

Still Valley: from a Manley Wade Wellman story but still a good title, and I happen to like the episode, too.

A Passage For Trumpet: Okay, another "passage", this one musical. A good story, well told, nicely acted.

The Four Of Us Are Dying. This one makes you think. It's an above average and engaging first season Noir entry, nicely acted by all four principal players.

Come Wander With Me. It draws you in, as does the music. Darkly beautiful episode, it gets its fair share of love and hate from Twilight Zone fans.

The Purple Testament. I wish the episode had been as good as its title. It could have been the perfect title for a certain type of story but it wasn't.

The Midnight Sun. This is one of my favorites of the entire series and its title is perfect.

Stopover In A Quiet Town. Yet another episode I love to watch, just to see how it's done. It's artificial, and in the end it's a "gimmick", but the writing is good, the acting even better, and its "surprise" at the end always gets me. Great title.
