Which TV show?

Trying to remember which show this was from. I think it was sit-com from the 1980s?

In this episode, there's a rumor going around (the office?). The subject of the rumor is a guy and he tells someone, "I know how rumors are. Everyone adds a little more, to make it better and better. Pretty soon, it's terrific! Well, I want to nip this one in the bud now, while it's still boring!"

Rings any bells, my friends?

But thanks, anyway :D

I could be wrong but I think I remember Rob Petre saying that line in an episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Not sure which episode though. I can picture Rob telling this to Buddy and Sally in the writer's room.

Haha, this might be something that I would hear on the Dick Van Dyke show, but that show was WELL before the 1980s. The OP said that the show was from the 80s, so at the very least s/he would have known that it's not Black and White.

Haha, by the way this post was made on the old IMDb boards, and that poster is not here on this site. LOL.

LOL! I did the same thing on another thread by answering an old post from IMDb to someone who isn't even here...DOH!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I've responded to old posts too, but I figure it keeps things moving and maybe inspires a new thread somewhere.

Exactly GlenEllyn, it just feels weird to be the first to post to a 3 year old poster...lol. πŸ˜‰
