Was This an Episode - Man Trapped in Well That is Then Filled with Water

I am not sure if this was a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode. It may have been some other show entirely. Saw it is a kid in the 60s.

Just recall bites.... A man enters a sort of western town... its empty... he falls into a deep tank or well. He has been trapped there by another man who can see him through a camera at the top of the hole. Slowly the hole is filled with water...

Ring a bell?

It doesn't ring a bell with me, but it's definitely not an original TZ episode. By the way, if the hole is filling with water, can't the person just tread water until he gets to the top and then get out? I'm sure I must be missing something here.

I have no idea what show this is from but it sounds really interesting. Would like to know what it is.

Could be from "Night Gallery." Or perhaps "Thriller."

Yes it possibly could be. I've seen about half of each of those shows and it doesn't ring a bell. Of course, it could be in the other half or another show entirely. Hope we all find out what it is.
