https://www.datalounge.com/thread/18809098-pitch-on-fox-cancelled-after-one-season!-wow-what-a-shocker!!!
A poorly scripted show with a ridiculous premise.
It is highly unlikely that any woman would ever be competitive as a pitcher. Even if she had a brilliant screwball (the premise), she'd still have to have an arsenal of other pitches which require upper body strength and skill to do. Where would she have played MLB caliber baseball? What farm team would have taken her?
Even if we were to take someone like Serena Williams, most experts believe that she would not rank in the top 1000 among men. Even being modest, she herself said she would probably lose to John McEnroe if they played today who might on a good day break into the top 500 at age 56.
There is no way a woman would be a MLB competitive pitcher - it's just too preposterous to make good drama.

A poster earlier in the thread (or maybe one of the previous ones) said that Snatched is predicted to be a major bomb. Any more information on this? Or on Amy Schumer? I don't think I've ever seen a star as hyped as her implode as quickly and spectacularly as she did. I feel like even Lohan was able to stretch out her career another few years.
As much as she likes to blame misogynists, Reddit, and the alt-right for her bad reception these days, I think she's alienated far more people than that. She struggled for years as a comedian with a cheap Sarah Silverman mean girl knock-off act. It was when she dropped it and started to act like a cool, relatable chick that she got popular. Around 2015, when she was really getting hyped, it became clear that the cool girl was just an act and she was every bit the nasty bitch she pretended to be on stage before that.
The Netflix special was a disaster, and when I saw the trailer for Snatched, I was surprised they were even going to release it. Even now, with the premiere coming so soon, I've hardly seen any press for it. I'm shocked image-obsessed Hollywood made a movie with two women who looked like that. Schumer has the face of a potato, and I'm not surprised that Goldie Hawn hasn't shown that plastic surgery victim Halloween freak show mask on camera in over fifteen years.
Who is going to see this? Schumer has alienated most of her fanbase, and nobody has given a shit about Goldie Hawn since Almost Famous came out and Hudson took over her career.
But, more importantly, will the hangout invites keep coming from J. Law when Schumer is relegated back to cable?

Usually when a married man hooks up with a woman other than his wife, he would like it kept a secret. Is it usually kept a secret? I think it depends on who the man is and how big the check is. Many moons ago in this very space we were introduced to an actress who had her biggest success as a teen and into her very early 20’s. Even then, she was more interested in things other than acting. She made a significant amount of money being a dominatrix to actors/producers who could afford her very expensive non-sexual services. Did I mention the services were expensive? Unlike most young actresses, she didn’t need to go to audition after audition. She made a ton of money and when she did want to act, all she had to do was talk to one of her clients who would make some calls and our actress could do some acting. Fast forward a few years and our actress meets a guy she wants to be with forever. One tiny catch. She doesn’t want him to discover her past. She prefers him to think she is an innocent. Someone who is there to experience something together as a couple and not worry about what happened prior to them being a couple. She had this grand vision of how she wanted him to see her and it didn’t include whipping some closeted A+ lister while he wore nipple clamps and recited lines from his movies. So, an agreement was reached. She would be quiet. Her clients would be quiet. At one point she had so many clients that she had farmed out some of the work to a friend who now took over the whole empire. Meanwhile, our actress gets married and walks away from acting and spins and spins about why she did. In the past few months, she is worried her 24K gilded existence will come to an end though because one of the producers who was a client is facing money issues. He won’t write a book but he is not opposed to blackmailing the now very very very wealthy by marriage actress for some money each month to keep their secret.

Brooke Shields was one of the most famous faces on the planet in the 1990s. After forging a successful career as a child star with roles in coming-of-age drama Blue Lagoon, Shields was happily married to world-famous tennis player Andre Agassi, and had landed two Emmy nominations for her role in NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan.
However, her fame began to decline dramatically, and Shields disappeared from our TV and cinema screens. We take a look at the reasons why the actress is no longer America's sweetheart.
This beloved 70’s and 80’s star worked in some movies in the 90’s and still has A+ list name recognition and some popular offspring. The reason she stopped working in movies was not retirement so much as no directors ever wanting to work with her if she was cast because she always had final cut in her movies during the 90’s so they all ended up being bombs.

When asked why she hasn't made a movie since The Banger Sisters (2002), Hawn explained that she simply wanted to try new things. "I believe that life is about doing. It's about changing," Hawn said. "It's about transitioning. I can't imagine, as a human being, not being able to grow."

Caitlyn Jenner got three segments and John Legend got pushed to another day! Ugh . I felt bad for Bruce two years ago , I just can't stand Caitlyn. Not because she's transgender, but she had to put salacious details of her marriage to Kris, and details about things Robert Kardasian, the father of his stepdaughters may have said in confidence.
No matter what Kris is , she is still the mom of two of his children, and Robert K is still the dad of his stepdaughters, and he's not alive to defend himself .
Watching Kelly gushing over Caitlyn was nauseating. I think Caitlyn is very selfish and had no care for how anyone else was treated when voting, but only got you when her candidate turned on the transgender community.
I wonder if Kelly and Mark will have Caitlyn guest star on their gay reality show about fire island! Or maybe she'll bee vacationing with them soon with her new boyfriend or girlfriend!

This white actor appeared on a long running TV series. This sitcom is one of the most successful shows in television history. This actor was given his own show when the series was cancelled. The show lasted a few seasons; his career took an nose-dive and never recovered. This actor has a secret; he has an intense hatred for African-Americans. So much so, he makes donations to white supremacist websites. He also has a reputation for being a lousy lover, his nickname in Hollywood is: ‘The one minute man.’
https://www.datalounge.com/thread/6010431-scott-baio-is-46-and-a-giant-douchebag
This blind item about Scott Baio is troubling if true:
This white actor's racism (which has been reported before) never ceases to amaze me. In his presence, you get an immediate racist vibe. He can't make eye contact with black men or women and appears very uncomfortable when he's in the company of blacks, so much so, it's noticeable. This is the same actor who we reported on last year. He told a black playmate at the Mansion. "You sure are beautiful but you look mixed, you're not mixed with black are you? I hope not!" A white female he once desired was dating a black NFL player. When he saw the athlete at a club, he broke through the crowd and confronted him, "You haven't slept with her yet, have you? The NFL player looked at him like he was crazy. This actor also got upset, when he was on a series, a black stagehand was visited by his white girlfriend and her best friend. When the stagehand went to the men's room, he overheard the white girlfriend tell her friend, "What a great endowed lover he was." The white actor was infuriated and after that day, he made the black stagehand's life miserable on the set. It's even been rumored, when he goes to high-end department stores, he will tell security that blacks entered the store before him and they may want to keep a eye out in case of shoplifting. A few years ago, he dated a olive skinned woman who he thought had Native American blood in her. When she informed him that her mother was white but her father was bi-racial. He went ballistic and broke off the relationship, threatening her, "I have to let you go or I might commit a hate crime against you." He also made his recent significant other get rid of a close black female friend. It's rumored that this actor allegedly produced porn under a alias when he was practically destitute between acting jobs. When he did get a job on a series, he hardly spoke to his black co-star despite being friendly to other cast members. Hints: He's appeared on two TV series'. Scott Baio
Erin's mother pushed her into show business when she was around 5. Before happy days she was pretty prolific and worked quite a bit in tv. I don't believe the $900 figure for the show. Neither her or baio came crawling back after Joanie loves chachi was canceled, it was understood from the beginning that if show didn't make it they would go back to happy days. The Minute Maid commercial with Andy gibb and heather locklear was made for Canadian tv and was shot at an amusement park in Ontario. Her hair not fitting in the with the era that it was taking place wasn't uncommon.look at penny Marshall in the last few seasons of Laverne and Shirley, her hair was contemporary and she looked great in the last season but had an 80s look. Also the kids from the last season all looked and dressed like kids did in 1982 not the 60s.
I think she started to unravel before the end of happy days. I think she could've had a steady career in tv and TV movies for at least a decade after the show ended. I thought the big issue with the lawsuit some of the cast filed was in regards to their likenesses being used and them not getting paid for it. I think Howard and winkler didn't join the suit because both are millionaires many times over. In the early 90s she did give an interview to the enquirer and said she found religion and that her Costars were evil Hollywood sinners. She got out of the cult and seemed to be doing better and had reconciled with the cast even making appearances with them, but slid back into the issues she had struggled with not to long after.
I loved Bugsy Malone too Scott and especially Jodie Foster were really good. One of the best all-kid musicals ever that would be great as a remake today. It made me like Baio too. Then true colors came through as he got older and now? That ignorant arrogant POS couldn't get me to piss on him if he was on fire. His VH1 reality most definitely exposed what a huge douche he is not to mention his political leanings. When he did speak about Erin it was with almost a shudder-like air of contempt as he couldn't believe he allowed himself to even be involved with her for the brief time they "dated" and made it seem like she was some unworthy of his time psycho that he was relived of. WTF? I also found it interesting that out of all the women he couldn't keep after Erin they were all the Courtney Snowden looking Stepford Wives acting type and those that weren't we're here and gone. If he did do Erin dirty trust his Karma will SURELY handle that for him.
Had a friend who worked catering for Happy Days, and a friend who was a grip and both told me way back when Days was on the air that Baio was a racist prick.
As for Erin, this same service food person said Erin was pretty nice, but she could tell there was something SAD around her. She told me that Erin always seemed like a basket case, and looked like she was always about to cry. She told me her energy was just heavy and not in a good way. Also that she seemed to have to make herself smile. Not repeating most of what the grip told me about Erin, but he said back then that she deserves some rest. I said rest from the show? He said, no a rest from life. I said huh? He said never mind. There was talk going around that she was allegedly molested as a kid during the Daktari days (Not sure if it was a relative or what), and she spoke of allegedly being raped during Happy Days. I believe she knew this person well (Rumor has it that it was a fellow actor on the show. All she ever said was that the rape happened during Days, and she'd always of course get emotional when she mentioned this alleged rape).
Poor thing. She looked far older than 56 years of age. You could see on her face and tell from her body that she wasn't aging well, and most of that came through sad, difficult and hard living. She's mercifully at REST. God Bless her. I Hope she finds peace wherever she is.
I think Arnold played well the role he was told to play. In other words, I don't think it was his fault the way Freeze ended up because that's what they were going for. That's not to say I think he would've been right for a better-quality attempt at Mr. Freeze, but I just don't think he's to blame for that because he played that awful role well.
Personally I've always liked the idea of Ralph Fiennes as Mr. Freeze. He can be super-intimidating while simultaneously tragically sympathetic.

I actually thought her casting was an improvement. One, Katie Holmes is not a good actress, sorry, but also Bruce Wayne flies helicopters and hangs out with a dozen sexy models and thats part of a carefully crafted persona, sure, but it illustrates how fake his 'real life' is for him. His scenes with Gyllenhaal's Rachel end up with more weight because they feel like two real people in the world and you know there's a genuine connection there, she isn't just a hot babe with whom Bruce has a bit of history. (And for the record, while Maggie Gyllenhaal is no Megan Fox, she's not ugly. Hollywood standards are ridiculous. Let the billionaire like the moderately attractive lady please.)

Maggie looked less frail, which is something I can see Bruce being attracted to. I think her not-model looks made her stand out, which is something that I feel the usual superhero love interest should be allowed to do more often.
Reacher is supposed to be 6 ft 5 in., 250 lbs., blonde with blue eyes, not very good looking (due to past fights) and built like a truck.
While it would be hard to find an actor who could portray him, I personally think either Liev Schriber or Daniel Craig could have pulled it off - both have rough-hewn faces, the physical intimidation factor, the hair and the eyes. Both can do physical fighting scenes very effectively and can play the laconic, taciturn but threatening persona very well. Makes me nuts when I see Cruise in the role.

She couldn't sing so she had to be dubbed for all of her songs by Marni Nixon. And she wasn't even Puerto Rican or Latina. She was American with an extremely Russian background. It's one thing to have an actress dubbed, Marni Nixon did it for a lot of musicals back in the day, but then to have the actress you pick be a white actress in a film about a rivalry between Latin and White gangs looks ridiculous when the Latina love interest is whiter than some of the Jets.

Despite her gorgeous looks and critical acclaim, Eva Mendes hasn't really started in a buzz worthy movie since 2012's The Place Beyond the Pines. How could someone as beautiful and talented have fallen off of Hollywood's radar? As it turns out, it might have been on her own accord.
Here are just some of the reasons Hollywood won't cast Eva Mendes anymore.
