Speaking of closeted, this one time A list teen heartthrob/sitcom actor all of you know gave up acting for behind the scenes stuff so he could date men and not be as recognizable. Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Why Jonathan Taylor Thomas Disappeared From Hollywood)

How Cobra Kai Fixed Ali Mills' Terrible Karate Kid 2 Exit, 35 Years Later
https://screenrant.com/ali-mills-cobra-kai-fixed-karate-kid-2-exit-explained/
Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue) had a frustrating exit after The Karate Kid, but luckily, Cobra Kai has managed to turn that piece of storytelling around.
Well, let's put it this way, among the films that were released in 1982, The Toy was the 14th highest grossing at the domestic box office:
https://www.stuckin80s.com/1982-box-office.html
It grossed $47,118,057 (or about $155,109,225.75 in 2025 dollars) against an estimated budget of $17 million.
The reason the story doesn't make much sense is that The Cannon Group cut out approximately 45 minutes of footage. It was allegedly due to poor test screenings. Or, it could've been because Cannon figured that they could fit in more screen times (and thus, recoup their losses faster) with a shorter length movie.
The Masters of the Universe movie with Dolph Lundgren was supposedly, one of those projects.
The Cannon Group, who obtained the Superman film rights from the Salkinds in 1985, essentially released an unfinished movie. Say what you will about the quality of the Superman films after Richard Donner was unceremoniously removed from the director's chair, but at least, they (in this case, the theatrical cut of Superman II from Richard Lester, Superman III, and Supergirl) still for the most part, look polished and professionally put together.

Ever since Shulman left and Boone took the Yankees job, ESPN coverage has been terrible and everything went south for them.

Don't ask screenwriter Bob Gale about Back to the Future 4 unless you want a strong insult.
