I watched The Thing (from 1982) for the first time a few weeks back, and thought it was alright ish in a plastic molded latex "the props guys have really made something this time" sort of way when I watched it, the only part I really remember was the slow motion helicopter crash at the end - which means the rest of the film wasn't really memorable sorreh ;) if there is anything you were going to do tonight, stream it tomorrow Claire Gargon played Scottish Kochanski in earlier episodes, Chloe Annette played her in series 7 and 8 (think it was 7 and 8) I found series 7 and 8's Kochanski slightly forgettable, tbh I know this because I read it somewhere if you want the have it both ways deal, in the Devil Wears Prada they criticise her at the end for her dedication/obsession with the job, but halfway through they are totally happy to accept designer handbags and new shoes from her it might be...bad example, but if you're in a tank, you need electronic comms just to talk to the other people in the tank what I'm not sure of, is that the rudder in a storm has an effect just through Clooneys force of will what I'm not keen on is the T-something's are made up to be virtually indestructible but in Genisys they magically get hold of a weapon that can destroy them with one hit and if you think about it, in T2, he gets (almost) destroyed by losing half an arm, and a pole you're gonna hate Genisys 1: time travel 2: time travel 3: time travel 4: no time travel 5: ...yikes Skynet was thinking we want a film which is about the special effects, and a basic storyline to tie it all together there is one that I always get bored in, it might be the third one where they go to an almost empty amusement park? or they are in castle grounds and there is no one there or something otherwise I think they are good (assuming people are reading this with spoilers in mind) I have to admit I noticed those huge tank-type things which were obviously there to destroy had a friendly 'us army' visibly written on the side of them it could have been more a matter of the BBC being desperate to appeal to under 30's - the BBC was his 'conduit' wasn't it Thrust SSC honestly not sure could have been the one with the fish bowl on the front (the big brother one) or actually the X factor one...in the book the guys name was Dick Crosby Ben Elton wrote a book in 2005 or so, not sure which one it was but it had a major (fictional) presenter as being a complete wrong'un I don't know if that was a reference to Savile or just a suggestion about the industry as a whole I worked with someone who'd done time. something fairly minor, stealing or something he wasn't pissed off or remorseful he'd done the crime, he was pissed off he'd got caught he probably made a great spreadsheet for some politician who thought they'd integrated him back into society, when actually he was a bit of a c**t I got quite annoyed with Horton Hears a Who I think it was the kangaroo character, she was a b***h throughout the whole movie, and then at the end, she gives a quick "sorry" and everyone says "everything is ok" not really, you've been a b***h the whole movie ps, no I'm not a bhl Formula 1...Nascar Cricket...Baseball Snooker...Pool I'm not saying one of those columns is better personally I find F1 fairly boring these days JS's success mainly shows how desperate the BBC have always been to try and stay "relevant" to anyone under the age of 40 if you can call it drama so far I'm 2 episodes in, and can't really be bothered to watch episode 3. there's dull, and there's the BBC
