Do you know anyone who's done jail time

My brother is currently serving 7 years for a drug conspiracy. He gets out 23rd February next year after serving 3 and a half years.

Kowalski. And for once I'm not even joking.

reply

What for.

reply

I don't remember. He's mentioned it before. Probably for being ugly.

reply

Yes unfortunately

When I moved out of my parents' house at age 18 (a very long time ago), my roommate started dating a guy who'd recently been released from prison. She refused to tell me what his crime was, which left me feeling very uncomfortable; especially since he was there so often when I got home from work. He gave off a very creepy vibe, I thought. Needless to say, when the lease was up, I moved out.

I worked with someone who'd done time. something fairly minor, stealing or something

he wasn't pissed off or remorseful he'd done the crime, he was pissed off he'd got caught

he probably made a great spreadsheet for some politician who thought they'd integrated him back into society, when actually he was a bit of a c**t

I made the mistake of getting mixed up with a stripper who had all sorts of legal problems. I really tried to help her straighten out but it was hopeless.

Prison and jail are different.

Jail can be the city lockup where they keep you overnight. And jail is where you go when you get a misdemeanor.

Prison is state or federal and for felonies. It sounds like your brother is in prison.

Yeah, I know myself. I've been in prison. We don't have horns.

reply

Two people.

Both of them ended up changing their ways so they wouldn't have to go back. Neither was a hardened criminal. They were both suburban white kids who probably liked the thrill of stealing and seeing themselves as badass criminals instead of boring suburbanites or something. LOL.

Anyway, they both became law abiding citizens for the most part after their prison stints for things like burglary.
