I concur. When he delivers his lines it’s like he’s telling everyone Hey, I’m acting here! Sooo overrated
It’s better than Barbie but let’s not kid ourselves because this was not even half deep or half intellectually simulating. I’ve see indie films way more profound than this and face palm at the final dialogue because it was so AI generic
You’re partly correct. Yes, very overly long and drawn out. But, nuclear weapons mark a turning pt in history of man and still affects us today ie Putin’s nuclear threats. The scientists under trial here is untimely ie Fauci questioned in Congress for his advice during pandemic
Only the atomic bomb because it was sooo gay
Nope. Nolan needs to stop hiring Hans Zimmer and someone shud tell Zimmer that loud does not equal great score
You obviously haven’t see much biopics then
Worst
Um, it was better than Barbie but that’s not saying much
I honestly face palmed because it was so cliché
Sux. So they really made a movie bout atomic bomb without showing bombing of Japan lol
Here’s my review: It was not bad but an hour too long and no, sex scene was not necessary, just Nolan being horny
They need R version where M3gan is a sex bot
But it’s adaptive AI so in a way out of their hands
Much smarter. I actually think it’s more sci fi because it has elements of Blade Runner, Terminator, and AI. There are some really subtle, clever moments you may miss if not too attentive. Story is really good and fits till the very end. Not your average senseless horror flick that you want your money back when movie ends.
Story so much better and more fun. It also felt satisfyingly long even though only 90 mins
Woke Schmoke
Just because it’s Art House/indie does not automatically make it good. Longer doesn’t mean better, either. For instance, I didn’t find scene where she assaults the conductor during performance was realistic. Security would have prevented her from being on stage. Also, scenes prior to that indicated she was fired so why was she allowed to stay on premises and look at orchestra from the mezzanine? It made sense her assistant did it since she quietly resigned afterwards. A lot of dialogue was extremely tedious for non-musicians and probably could be edited better. I didn’t buy her gf cutting her off so abruptly and believing the gossip. I don’t think you can have it both ways of having a movie move organically and realistically for most of movie and then have such dramatic twists toward the end. Feels uneven like two different movies for me. Ultimately, any movie should entertain and I’ve seen many indies 90 mins or less do a better job.
I thought it was ok. Very formulaic and script cud be better. I wanted to luv it but I only like it.
I thought it was perfect because he’s a druggie and can’t think straight, hence the confusing storyline to give the viewer same effect.
It was one dumb scene of him begging for drugs, again you do crazy things when you’re desperate but one scene does not mean he’s been begging for drugs forever. Dumb criticism from so-called film critics.
A man sleeps with another man and he’s gay or weird. Loneliness can make a man do things you never seen before. He’s obviously not just suffering from addiction, but survivor’s guilt, narcissism, depression, early signs of dementia, and loneliness.
This was a prequel because he cleans up at the end of movie and finally “cures” himself from these ailments when he meets Julia Roberts.
Even better at 2am on ABC
