Just saw it. One of the best biopics ever made!
Just all around an incredible and emotionally devestating film. Multiple people will be getting nominated for Oscars for this.

shareI agree! So well done! Easily one of Nolan’s best. There better be plenty of Oscar noms, if they have any credibility left. Everyone involved brought their A game for this one.
shareIt's pretty great, indeed. Unfortunately it's not the true story but just a romanticized version of Oppenheimer. But who cares. The dude gave us nukes. A curse be upon his bloodline.
share"it's not the true story but just a romanticized version"
I thought they would do that and you've confirmed it. Reason for me not to see it.
It's impossible not to either romanticize or demonize because we don't have all the facts.
It's still a good movie. And I like that they absolve Oppenheimer a bit.
I meant that they fictionalize the story to add drama. I watched "The Monuments Men" movie which did that and it was cringey. I ended up reading the book to find out what really happened.
They probably absolve Oppenheimer because Americans like happy endings and good guys. I'll probably just read the biography that the movie is based on.
Your posting history confirms you are a very stupid troll! Based on the best biography of Oppenheimer:
Book won a Pulitzer. Read reception: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Prometheus
You're just butthurt because you lost earlier. Every biography is romanticized as memory is quite unreliable. Boom you lost on facts again. Now be off, Satan.
shareTop 3 Nolan for me. It's a ballsy film consider what you usually expect form Nolan. I can see why so many critics mentioned JFK and Social Network, it's a very talky film and that's not a bad thing.
In terms of Oscars, I won't be surprised if it gets over a dozen noms for sure. But you just don't know with the Oscar voters where they'll go with their votes. If they want to give Nolan his Oscar due, this will be the film to do it with. I'd be shocked if Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and RDJ ain't given Oscar nods.
I agree.
