I bet it's crap.

So.many of the "Positive" reviews I have seen seem to be saying "it's Great....(BUT...."

And then gloss over a lot of Buts.
rather quickly...

Reminds me of the early reviews of Dark Knight Rises, and looks to have similar issues, disappointing "action" scenes, over long, bad script etc.

I will probably go and see it, but I have quite low expectations.

That doesn't sound promising if it has action scenes.

They gushed over Dunkirk as well - that movie in no way deserves a 92%. And these are the same critics that gave The Last Jedi glowing reviews.

The only real option is to check with individual reviewers you know and trust, and obviously see it yourself. I'm pretty sure this "authority" model with an aggregate of select hacks like RT is going to die eventually.

Hard to get honest reviews these days, critics can be bought, rating sites can be bought, but at least some youtube reviewers are not bought, at least they can't buy all of them.

Dark Knight, Tenet, Interstellar were all average at best, yet critics tried to tell us they're masterpieces.

I always find IMDB's rating to be the most accurate in terms of what reflects my own feeling about how good a film is. I mean Nolan's films do still get overrated on IMDB by his fans and no way would I have The Dark Knight in a top ten, but at least Dunkirk and Tenet aren't in the top 250 so some common sense among the consensus has prevailed there. I'd like to think if this is more along those lines, then this early high rating will soon come down.

In terms of Nolan's output anyway, I think the quality has started to slide since the last decade, so I'm certainly not going to have my expectations supremely raised by this one, especially as it's 3 hours and features little action.
