I wrote it off as a biological thingy - like either some blood pooled there, or maybe he had a sort of exo-skin on swimming in the GOO. could be anything really, and is not important to the plot in any way
yeah, he's made some really good films, but not so good audience reach
exactly how I am seeing things too. I love Nolan but didn't want to influence ANY thoughts here.

Why? Because this is all "Fiction":
literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes IMAGINARY EVENTS AND PEOPLE.
Feels like fictional movies are not allowed to incorporate "fiction" in them anymore.

i get why people dislike it, but I think it is kinda brilliant. the acting, delivery, confusion presented perfectly --- maybe it doesn't fit this FILM persay, but it feels like another well executed "Who's on first" situation comedy bit.
yep we are allowed to enjoy what we enjoy! :) I enjoyed watching it once, but disappointed with how it went, so no interest in watching again. that's just me. and allowed. :)

Loving the genre, I thought it was just okay for a single watch.
I feel like everyone thought it would be a killer hit in the spoof arena, especially with the star power.
But, one of those cases where the finished jokes just didn't land as well as they seem they could have.
I love excellent spoof movies, but this one didn't work collectively, even though production, direction, acting, sets were all top notch. Too bad. Wish there were more successful spoof movies.
