This is a masterpiece and one of my favorite films/character studies. All you newbs should be checking it out. Especially if you are a true lover of great films.
Cmon hownos don’t be coy… lol.
Yeah I feel that too, expedited production with a seemingly winning formula but as expected reviews are mixed. I’m a huge Guy Ritchie fan ever since Snatch which is a masterpiece but I have not really liked anything he’s done since Sherlock Holmes part two.
Yeah I know, we all do.
Right on.
No it doesn’t it looks like a money grab
She was excellent though. I was bad writing but I was hoping it would get better.
Of all the rolls he had I think he could’ve won for Lead actor for born on the Fourth of July and supporting for magnolia. I think people just don’t like him and the Oscars are indeed part popularity contest.
Well that’s a pretty subjective question but for me the answer is yes it just felt the most authentic and genuine and still does.
So what it will be handled by Kevin and in the MCU. And knowing how bad the previous iterations are they are going to tighten up and make this the bomb. Bring on Galactus, The Silver Surfer and Namor. Most anticipated.
You’re right she is awesome and they could do it with CGI etc. but deep down inside it feels like it should be his sister Shuri.
Honestly the best thing he did was the Batman series and the dark Knight is the pinnacle. I have not been a big fan of the rest of his work except for insomnia which was a remake.
Nice list. “We had a funny guy with us in Korea. Tailgunner. They blew his brains out all over the Pacific. There's nothing funny about that.” Lawrence Tierney was awesome in that episode I wish they would have used him more.
Ok right on.
Me too.
By any modern standards it is a 10/10. It may not be perfect but compared to pretty much anything else it is at the pinnacle of filmmaking. Ask any director and they wish they could make a film like this.
Lawrence of Arabia and it never felt like 4 hours. One of the greatest films ever made in so many ways. Also Das Boot and Magnolia which are unforgettable.
My biggest takeaway from the opening was that violence and meat eating caused the next step in evolution. But I am not a smart man.
I loved The Killing season one.
“Do you want to have sex right now!?” Btw that college girl was nice.
