If you actually watched the movie, you'd know it wasn't just for that reason. It was just one time too many.
A birthday party is a privilege, not a right. It's not like they weren't going to celebrate his birthday at all. She brought home presents and cake. He just wasn't going to have a big party for it. And we also don't know exactly what happened with his grades. Maybe his report card said he was constantly goofing off or talking back.
It didn't have to be Drax, I just used him as an example. They'd never do it to one of their lead characters but they could have killed one secondary character.
Was it dumb? Yes. Did it warrant a crybaby snowflake rant like this? No.
No. Scarlett IS playing the character in the Solo prequel. Where the hell have you seen otherwise? It will be a prequel movie with Scarlett. This is a fact.
Nope. We didn't need those characters.
It's fine to ask stuff that you didn't understand. But you're asking about the most obvious, simplest things in the movie. They say, REPEATEDLY, only the people that died from the snap be brought. And you see them go back in time and see Gamora. Either you're stupid, or you weren't watching.
I always laugh at the criticism of not enough action, or the other one had more action. It's a shame people nowadays just want constant big pretty CGI battles instead of some amazing dramatic scenes and character development and emotion.
Jesus christ, did you even watch the fucking movie? They say over and over only the characters that died FROM THE SNAP could be brought back. Loki was choked and had his neck broken. Heimdall was impaled. Vision had the stone ripped out of his head. Really, pay attention.
And as for Gamora, the Gamora from Endgame is the past Gamors. Ya know, when they went in back in time and Thanos and Gamora and Nebula talked about going to the present? Seriously, open your eyes and see it again.
I think it was a good thing. She just got her own movie. One thing I didn't want was having her be this deux ex machina that solves everything for them. Instead, she got some good scenes with the cast, had some cool moments, and that was enough.
6. Strange said in the 14 million scenarios, they only won in one of them. Tony knew he had to end it then and there. When he saw Strange lift his finger, he knew this was it. This was the one chance. We can assume if Tony had done anything else, froze time or whatever, Thanos somehow still wins.
Yes because 30 seconds of the female characters in one shot is the same as going on a racist rant.
This is my point. You're whining and crying over one stupid moment. In a movie filled with plot holes and stupid fan service and audience pandering. It was dumb, but it also wasn't bad enough to warrant being so offended like you are.
Was it a little ridiculous? Yes. Is it worth this bitching and whining about it? No. It was like 30 seconds out of a God damn 3 hour movie. Who honestly cares.
I'm not being defensive, and I didn't say you hated the show or anything. I'm pointing out that most of the things you listed aren't even bad. And the only ones out of the 6 I talked about that people would have a problem with today are Ross dating a student and Monica dating the teenager. But in both cases people probably wouldn't even care that much because as I said, Ross wasn't her professor anymore and the kid lied to Monica.
You say they're awful, but then most of the stuff you list isn't awful at all. Different maybe, but awful? No.
-Ross was married to a lesbian: How does that make HIM awful?
-Phoebe gets pregnant with her brother: This is an extremely asinine way of putting it. You act like they had sex. They didnt. Her brother and his wife couldn't conceive, so she was a surrogate. Again, how is that awful?
Her brother is dating an old lady: I mean she was like 50, not really an old lady, but again, how is that awful? Why is dating someone older, even a lot older, awful?
Monica dates a teenager: Didn't he lie about how old he was? Not really her fault.
Rachel is pregnant but keeps dating anybody else but Ross: Didn't she date one person? And it only lasted one episode. How is one guy "everybody"? Ross dated Mona while Rachel was pregnant for like half the season. Either way, who cares though? Rachel didn't want to date Ross then, so how is that awful?
Ross dates one of his students: That was against his school's rules but it was a dumb rule since she wasnt his student anymore. It was after she finished his class. Really not a big deal.
So yeah, most of your list of awful behavior isn't awful at all. So it sounds like you are just too judgemental. But even then, it's weird to say these are awful things. Maybe you need to rewatch the show too, since some of what you said seems very ignorant as to what actually happens.
What are your favorite ones?
I don't think most people think its "so problematic". Its just a tiny group of idiots like the writer of that article that are offended by it. The fact Netflix spent 100 million dollars to keep the show after there was so much backlash over them getting rid of it proves most people don't feel the way that the idiot writer does.
I'm not defending the movie. It could very well suck. I did enjoy the trailer, but I can still see it being a huge letdown. I'm just pointing out how retarded it is to find such a ridiculous thing to cry and bitch about.
What do you think of some idiot having such hatred for a movie they haven't even seen? You sound like some high school girl that got rejected by the director the way you're continuingly criticizing it.
Really, sweetie, use your head.
Again, you're just whining. Completely new? They were making Batman movies. What exactly should they have done differently? They had the characters, and put their spin on them. Like pretty much any character that's come from a book or comic book. Do you have the same complaint about every single comic book villain ever? Because almost none are carbon copies of the comic versions.
This is Todd Phillip's version of the joker. If you dont like it, that's fine. But whining because it's not exactly how you want it to be done is just pathetic. I can't imagine getting so worked up over something so ridiculous.
Oh for God's sake, it's not laziness. Laziness would be just doing the same thing we've already seen on screen before. Thank God Nolan and Ledger didn't share your opinion, or we'd have missed one of the greatest adaptations of a character of all time.
Also, you clearly aren't familiar with the joker. He has no origin story. Falling into the chemicals is the most widely recognized, but it is not, and never has been, his definitive origin story.
