I've heard this one with his wife on roller skates. Some can be all three. Some are not. A few are mostly intolerant of anything that challenges Christian tenants. I used to go there on occasion. There were some eras of it where all it was was a bunch of atheists bashing anybody who tried to have an actual discussion on the subject of religion, especially Christians. The Christians would just spout bible verses and wouldn't listen to anything that challenged what they had been taught about Christianity. Often when someone would legitimately ask a question about some aspect of religion, all the replies would be jokes or insults. Many of the the threads were just social chats. The thing that really sucks about it is that a couple of years ago I had gotten into the habit of posting in the tread about what your last dream was about. I had been posting in that thread for quite sometime now. Unfortunately for the last year or two I haven't written backups to what I had posted in the forum. When I first began writing down my dreams I would write them in a spiral notebook. At first it was just on occasion when I had a totally awesome dream I wanted to remember, then I began to write down dreams more often and eventually whenever I recalled a dream I would try to write it down, no matter what it was. I wrote down what if anything I could recall. Then when I noticed that imdb2 had a post about dreams, I began to write them there and then at my leisure write them in the notebook. Well it has been a year or two since I've written a dream in the notebook, but wrote them on the forum post. A vast number of dreams, some quick and short could only remember a tiny bit like when you remember just what one small movie scene looked like, but not any dialog or who acted in it, to dreams so detailed I could only describe a tiny bit of it. It became part of my daily routine. At my first opportunity I would got to imdb2 and check that thread, it became the only thread I would read or post to there. That is what I was thinking, but it was there yesterday on the 1st and gone today on the 2nd. The goofs and trivia sections would often have near duplicated comments. Often there were two posts that were pointing out the same goof or bit of trivia. What was needed was a merge option so one could combine and edit the two posts. However that would delete someone's contribution to the site and if they noticed they would have gotten upset about it. Seriously? Brexit was The UK leaving The European Union. Many in the UK thought it was a very bad idea. Just as Democrats think the US leaving the Paris Climate Agreement was bad. Or moving the US Embassy to Israel to Jerusalem. I'd say overall they are doing OK. The site was mostly about movie and TV show Information, the chat boards were secondary. At least the company that operates the site (owned by Amazon) I still use it to check out the technical info on movies and to see the cast lists. I still use the "watchlist" whenever I see a movie or a new television show. I miss being able to watch a movie or an episode of a TV show and then hop online to discuss what I just watched. I have started to do that here but there are many of my shows that I haven't visited the page for here. That is mostly because of many shows being in the summer hiatus. Lets see: Current Collections: Trading Cards CDs DVDs Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (still need to get a bunch more and re acquire some from the 70s and 80s I used to own) Some sports memorabilia from my local DC area teams. Books - mostly sci-fi and authors I enjoy reading. Stopped Collecting but still have collection: Comics Vinyl records about 500 LPs and about 150? 45s Cassettes VHS tapes Used to collect beer cans as a kid, and at one time bottle caps. I once had a small piece of card board I had glued about 50 caps to. Think I tossed that long ago. I think a lot of it is the family values it showed. The Brady's were a functional family, not the dysfunctional type we see in sit-coms now days. The kids would do all sorts of "bad" things sometimes just something slightly immoral. Usually they would feel bad about what they did and eventually tell Mom & Dad about it, or one of the siblings would blab about it during an argument. Mom and Dad would explain why what they did was wrong and set an appropriate punishment for the offence. The kids respected their parents, they didn't constantly try to things behind their backs just to get at them. Like kids from all time periods yes the would often do something and try to hide it from their parents sometimes, but mostly they would do what is right or at least think about what they were going to do before doing it. I've been enjoying this show via on demand. Just finished binging season 1. I have watched the first 3 episodes of season 2 the pirate season. This is definitely one of those shows where you check your brain in at the door. Just relax and watch it don't think about it. Don't try to examine it in great detail like people tend to do with every show and movie now days. Why don't people just sit back and relax and enjoy the entertainment? Apologize? For what? She probably read it and moved on. Old school friends tend to be just that old school friends. If she is still on your list of friends don't worry about it. When Facebook tells you it's her birthday send a Happy Birthday post. I don't think we should be "friends" but we should keep open communications with them and try to avoid confrontations that lead to war. I don't know why it appears that many want a war with Russia. Before Trump met with Kim Jong Un, they were shouting back and forth paving the way for a nasty war. Fortunately cooler heads prevailed and military conflict has been avoided ...for now. Democrats were afraid of the Trump-Jong Un meeting but I think not having any level-headed talks would have gotten us into a war. Well resuming the original war. Heck we still might be headed for a nasty war with NK. I have several. People who don't use turn signals and those who will use the one opposite than the direction they are going. People making a U-turn at an intersection using the entire intersection from right most lane in a very wide turn to the opposite right most lane (in the UK that would be from left most lane to left most lane). This usually happens at 4 way stop intersections that are too small to make a proper U-Turn. People in the opposing direction making a jack-rabbit left turn as soon as the light turns green rather than waiting for traffic from the other direction (that has the right of way) to clear so they can make their turn properly. People who are in a lane marked as turn only and go straight through the intersection. There is an intersection on my work commute with an intersection with a left turn only lane and a normal right lane that is straight or turn right. At least once a week sometimes more someone will be in the left turn only lane and go straight through the intersection while I am on their right. The biggest reason this annoys me is at the next intersection the right lane is a right turn only lane and the left lane is the lane to go straight through the next traffic light. I think that next intersection has a no left turn. I straight through both intersections so in that next block I need to get into the left lane ASAP. Better than the ones that don't use them at all. That is one of my big pet peeves. Hmm, could it be In Like Flint? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061810/ I agree it has improved some. Still mostly silly but has gotten better. Silly is one of the reasons I liked it. I enjoy some of the off the wall type comedies that specialize in being very silly. In this case NO. Not necessary, but but they did it anyway. Yes a sequel that updates the original by repeating the same basic plot with very little differences. The only reason is to cash in on the first movie's success. Unfortunately this one failed. It was a "sequel" that in reality was an updated remake.
