23 (1998) - and "The KGB, the Computer and Me (1990)", same story, completely different perspective
Legends of the Fall (1994) ... mostly because of the war scenes and the fistfight with a bear
a wizard did it
Mainly for the same reason as Venus is tilted by 180 degrees: We don't really know :)
There are impact theories for both of them ...

So true.
Over here in Europe, the bronco chase made him a known name - not his sports or movie career before.
It has been a common name before (for example Adidas = Adolf Dassler) and gained a lot of extra popularity in the 30's - which it immediately lost again in the 40's. This lead to an over-proportionate amount of Adolfs of a certain age group during the following decades - and the inevitability of a generation with politicians named Adolf (again), leading to (inofficial) campain slogans like <i>"Wer einmal schon für Adolf war, wählt Adolf auch in diesem Jahr"</i> in the late 50's.
In everyday life, the German Adolfs I've encountered wanted to be called "just Adi" instead and they were all born in the 30's.
It's the moment of indifference when you're shopping, when you're confronted with the choice of different brands.
They want you to recognize theirs and to associate something positive with it - worth the higher price because of the additional costs of the campaign. Markets with higher customer/brand loyalty (razors for example, but also in medication vs. generic drugs) usually have the higher marketing budgets.
I'd expect at least a heavy reaction when a member of the Commonwealth would get into trouble.
A NATO involvement would be something to expect too, the US wouldn't hold back.
In the end, it's about land stolen from natives by a colonizing nation. China only comes centuries late to the party.
Did anyone care when the British did it?
Russian name translates to "Toughie", following the "hard to kill" direction.

French title is "Piège de cristal" = "Crystal Trap" (Italian "Trappola di cristallo" means the same)
German title "Stirb langsam" = "Die slowly" (lost in translation)

Sounds a lot like Asimov.

<blockquote>The Irish are the only "white" ethnic group that were colonized, that were butchered, and treated like sh*t.</blockquote>
For starters, you might want to check the etymology of the word "slave".
Slavs are white.
HAARP and the Russian Woodpecker are both all about mind control.
Nessie, the Loch Ness ... bathing elephant.
The CIA killed Olof Palme.
The Uranium in "Little Boy" was enriched by Auer.
