All of them are worth watching, except for Resurrection and Rob Zombie's second one. Rob's first one is a mixed bag, but mostly terrible. Halloween 5 is a bit redundant. It's essentially Halloween 4 II. As far as Halloween 6, I prefer the Producer's Cut. Neither one is canon anyway. H20 is a must. They would play the overture before the curtains opened. Since TVs don't have curtains, this doesn't really translate. I was a bit confused about this when I first saw 2001: A Space Odyssey. That's a good question. Maybe Season 5 will explain it. I am curious as to why The Upside Down is frozen to the date Will went missing. That was an interesting plot development. Also, where did the Upside Down come from? Who or what created it? And is Vecna in control or the Mind Flayer? Season 1 was my favorite until "Dear Billy." I had to take an emotional break after that episode. This was the famous Max breakout episode with "Running Up That Hill" and some of Sadie Sink's best acting. Robert Englund (who's a total lock for his Saturn Award nomination). And it's one of the few episodes that Eleven isn't in. For the first time ever, Max is given the spotlight and damn, does she deliver. If "Papa" and "The Piggyback" had been released, I still would have taken an emotional break after "The Massacre at Hawkins Lab." I know these were flashbacks, but everything felt like it was happening "now." I was so afraid that <spoiler>Eleven was going to die</spoiler>. In all three of these episodes, actually. I was somehow okay enough to watch "The Piggyback" immediately after "Papa." All three of these back-to-back episodes were emotionally charged, as was "Dear Billy." "Hill" wasn't the only song that got my emotions going... so did "Separate Ways." Great song, great scene, even if it reminded me of Tron: Legacy. And yet it didn't feel like a simple rehash. I rank the seasons: 4-1-2-3. Funny you should mention that. Stranger Things was certainly blowing up during Season 4 mania. Active for at least the first two pages. So some big shows still get that same kind of buzz. Au revoir, Lobey. I'll definitely have to watch Tron sometime. RIP. At least this answers the third TV character fate I was worried about this year. (The other two being <spoiler>Max and Eleven</spoiler> on Stranger Things.) Kim definitely saved herself. Makes me wonder if they'll ever see each other again. LMAO! Crocodile Dundee didn't come out in the U.S. until September. Season 4 begins shortly after Metallica released Master of Puppets, which means Eddie Munson learned the song in record time. You could make the same argument about why Season 2 or 3 never referenced Spinal Tap, even though they could just as easily make a joke about "These go to Eleven." *SEASONS 2 & 3 SPOILERS* But of course in Season 2, Hopper intentionally isolated Eleven from Mike and the gang, and in season 3 she broke up with Mike and then pretty much got back together before she and the Byers moved to California. It's official now! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/stranger-things-star-noah-schnapp-011338086.html Seasons 2 and 3 are quite good, but 4 is where the show grows a ZZ Top beard. It's well worth it. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/GrowingTheBeard Looks like even Millie was against the breakup... https://www.seventeen.com/celebrity/movies-tv/a28434771/millie-bobby-brown-mike-eleven-breakup-stranger-things-3/ I also went into Season 4 thinking this was it. Then I started hearing talk of a season 5. I have no idea how they're gonna top this, and I don't know if my emotions can take it, lol. Throughout the season, I became so scared that either Eleven or Max was gonna die and they started baiting us with it. In fact, I needed to take an emotional break after watching "Dear Billy." Strangely, I was fine enough after "Papa" to proceed to "Piggyback." "Piggyback," on the other hand, it wasn't until the wee hours of Sunday that my emotions/nerves finally started to calm. A buddy of mine on Discord suggested that Season 5 should be de-escalated and intimate. But the Duffers already shot that down back in May. Essentially, you can't put the genie back in the bottle. I know Eleven is way too popular to die, and I hope it stays that way. The show just wouldn't be the same without her. (FWIW, I watched the first few episodes of Season 1 back in 2019, but was a little too busy until now to catch up. So I already recovered from the previous Eleven fakeout, which I knew she had to be in the Upside Down.) I'm hoping Max pulls through. (I am going back to the first season, and I can't believe how little I remember from three years ago. Then again, I watched it on my desktop monitor with poor sound. Now I'm watching it on my TV via PC/HDMI, Netflix app instead of using Firefox, and with my AV receiver.) Nevermind power laces, where are our flying cars that run on Mr. Fusion? I know for a fact that the original B&W Dragnet aired on Nick at Nite at least as late as 1994. We watched it a lot, and back then I thought the name of the show was Friday. (I was 8 in 1994.) This was around the time they were still airing Mister Ed. In the late 90s is when the color Dragnet showed up on TV Land. I can't remember if it was on Nick at Nite. The first color Dragnet I ever saw was the Dan Aykroyd spoof in 1994. But yeah, it's crazy to think that this show has disappeared. I think a few episodes have fallen into the public domain. Edit to add: Scattered episodes from seasons 1-6 and 8 can be streamed on Pluto TV for free (with ads). Johnny, 100 percent. I somehow liked it he first time I watched it back in 2017 on Blu-ray. Maybe I was distracted by Harley Quinn and the soundtrack. Years went by and I still believed the critics were wrong. Then I watched it sometime last year, along with all of the DCEU as part of a long overdue revisit/reevaluation. I paid more attention to it and realized there's barely a plot! It's dull, it's swamp green, Jared Leto's Joker was worse than I remembered. The film's strongest/er assets are Harley Quinn and the soundtrack, to be honest. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) on her own was pretty good. Will Smith was respectable. Almost all of the DCEU films I ended up changing my opinion on upon revisiting, with the exception of Wonder Woman. That was the rare good one. It's a miracle that Zack Snyder's Justice League is the masterpiece it is... maybe because he had more time to work on it. The post-Wonder Woman films are infinitely better than this, with the obvious exception of Joss Whedon's theatrical cut of Justice League. The more recent The Suicide Squad is light years better than its predecessor, as is Birds of Prey. You're actually thinking of Harlan Ellison. :) I watch this crap! :) The Producer's Cut explains this: "After my stroke six years ago, they practically had to put a gun to my head to get me to retire." "I've buried the ghosts in this memoir." He's also listening to Barry Simms, so the memories of Haddonfield and Michael Myers still linger. Maybe Loomis decided he was too old/frail to keep chasing Michael, like he'd already lost the battle.
"Jesus"
Don't you mean "Hey, Zeus"? ;)
